Struggle Goes On, Comrades!

By I.V. Knyshov
Krasnyj Lutch, Ukraine

The struggles against the present regime of Kuchma in the Ukraine are going on in spite of the creeping fascism. A case in point is my struggles that readers of NSC have already become very familiar with.

My court appearances and my unemployment already for 3 years are known far and wide because of my activities in organizing the miners and as a safety inspector I am being hounded and controlled by the police so that I do not proceed further with my court case against the government and the private owners who have brought the miners' lives to a danger point because of the terrible unsafe conditions in the mines.

Kuchma predicted that there shall not be May Day demonstrations anywhere... but look just at some of the photographs in my little locality! People came out en masse to protest all the policies and the living conditions.

I am forced to go from court to court, to different localities and undergo the degrading task of being accused of all sorts of crimes, just because I stand for the safety of the miners, for the resurrection of the Soviet Union and for socialism!

(Here comrade Knyshov writes details of all the prosecutors' names and procedures he undergoes which is omitted here-Editor)

Because of all these events my father died of a heart attack and my mother is now half blind without any help from the authorities. But... this makes me even more determined to carry on and fight for socialism as a member of the All Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks!
