Imperialism Shall Not Pass

Statement by the CC AUCPB

Nina Andreeva - AUCPB

The dangerous situation in the Near East and Yugoslavia again sheds the light on the great danger with which imperialism threatens all of mankind.

Well fed by US imperialism, the Israeli beast of prey has openly attacked the Palestine National Autonomy. Against the defenseless Palestinian people, the aggressive State of Israel has used fighter planes, helicopter gunships, rockets and artillery. Using missile rockets they attacked the residence of Yasser Arafat and many residential Palestinian districts. The Israeli army is on a full war footing. Israeli tanks have invaded the autonomous territory and are waging an undeclared war.

Together with this, as was reported on the BBC, USA and England are bombarding Iraq, the country that is publicly supporting Palestinian liberation.

Full of success in toppling the Yugoslav president Milosevic by "peaceful means" the USA and, cooperating with them, all other countries of NATO are now focusing with all their might to dislodge and overturn the government of Hussein in Iraq, in order to dismember this country and defeat this brave nation fighting for its freedom.

Overall, the Near East now presents a very dangerous situation that could lead to an all out war between Israel and all the Arab countries. The aim of NATO and Israel is to stop the formation of a Palestinian State, to sink their roots into this territory and to defeat and disperse any opposition to imperialism in this strategic region of the world.

The setting up of war bases in the Balkans was the main aim of NATO. They have now completed a NATO shield there, under which cover genocide is proceeding against the Serbs in Kosovo and installing a puppet regime in Belgrade, splitting Kosovo and Chernogore and to forever put down the Yugoslav state. This is all tied in to the overall policy of NATO... proceeding to get nearer and nearer to the borders of Russia.

Utilizing the strategy of "peacekeeping," US imperialism is now using the so-called Madrid Agreement as far as the Near East is concerned or the US-arranged Dayton Agreement of 1995 which made Yugoslavia a neo-colony of the West.

The USA is arming Israel with all the most modern and deadly war hardware, but keeping well hidden that Israel has atomic and hydrogen bombs and also missiles, while completely boycotting the United Nations decision regarding Palestine State.

In Yugoslavia, US and NATO, through their worldwide media coverage, are masking this open attack on Yugoslavia by propagating that it is a necessary "UN humanitarian intervention". NATO for 79 days and nights bombed Yugoslavia and now, after the defeat of president Milosevic, is attacking resolution No. 1244 of the United Nations Organization from June of 1991, which agreed that the unity of Yugoslavia as a state must be maintained.

Today, from the lips of the present Russian regime, you can hear the words of agreement as to what transpired in Yugoslavia or what is happening in the Near East. It is good to remember that some statements made for public relations only by Russian leaders regarding Yugoslavia during the attacks by NATO forces, now are forgotten and are closer and closer to the official position of US/NATO. This, in spite of some disagreement on the discussion of PRO, which only stopped because of the US presidential election.

The aim of the present Russian regime is to be seen as a partnership with the US policies in Yugoslavia and the Near East. The role of V. Chernomydrin of Russia, sent by Putin for discussions in the Near East, was in the interests of USA only. There is no difference in the course being taken by Putin to that which was being pursued by Yeltsin.

It is a sad state to see that the Russian official bourgeois policy in the Near East is being sup-ported wholeheartedly by the Communist Party of Russian Federation (CPRF) even though in some small ways the CPRF criticizes this policy. The leadership of the CPRF has thrown out the principles of Lenin regarding international situations and imperialism. The CPRF "Zyuganovites" are trying desperately to "enmesh" themselves into the present policy of the Russian regime. The revisionists even hope that the present Putin regime will return back to socialism!? There is no parallel to such cynicism on the part of the present revisionists.

Imperialism shall not pass!

We are certain that sooner or later there shall be formed in the world a great united anti-imperialist front, which shall give a decisive defeat to imperialism and it shall return the planet to peace and friendship, eliminating exploitation and violence.

During these dangerous times, the AUCPB is utilizing all forms of struggle against the policy of imperialist states and their helpers in the Near East and Yugoslavia.

Down with imperialism!

Let solidarity become firmer of all the peoples struggling against imperialistic aggression and for a durable and just peace on our planet!

Labor under Attack in Russia!

Below we reprint the letter of protest sent to President Putin of Russia from the Organizing Committee for an International Council and the Northstar Compass, plus from the Canadian and U.S. Friends of Soviet People.

To: President Putin of Russia:

As you know the Second All-Russia Day of Action against your draconian anti-union laws (Labour Code-KZot) takes place on December 1, 2000. The first protest took pace on May 17, brought out way over 300,000 workers across Russia.

Since the introduction of privatization in Russia, workers and all of their families have suffered enormous hardships. They have seen the average male life expectancy plummet from Western levels to just under 56 years of age. Non-payment of wages has become normal, schoolchildren have had to stay home because their schools cannot afford heating. Diseases of poverty like tuberculosis have become epidemic, and all over the country people have been forced to live off what they can grow on their back plots. Now, on top of all of this suffering, your government intends to introduce a new Labour Code that will destroy the basic rights held by workers for decades.

The new Labour Code, devised with the enthusiastic encouragement of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), will impose a system of casual labour everywhere, removing from the trade unions all power to act. While at present workers cannot be legally fired if the trade union opposes it, the new Code will allow the bosses to fire at will, as well as to spy on the private lives of workers and blacklist any who haive been active trade unionists. The length of the working day shall be increased from 8 to 12 hours, and employers will be able to impose a 56-hour week without any overtime pay. Additionally, the new Code legalizes child labour and forces pregnant women to work night shifts.

We, as part of the world of workers and progressive movements, protest against your barbaric new Code.

We demand that the right of workers to organize in trade unions be maintained. We condemn your attempt to legally impose upon the workers the Nineteenth Century working conditions. We affirm our solidarity with the All-Russia Campaign Against the Labour Code, who have called for a mass Day of Action on December 1, 2000 against this disgraceful attack on the working class.

NSC readers will remember that we published the text of Mikhail Gorbachev's speech at the American University in Turkey Today we reprint just one of many comments on this vile admission The Open Letter is under the heading of:

"You Are a Scoundrel!"

"Your appearance and speech at the American University in Turkey - this was a political striptease, and not only insulting the communists. It has brought defamation of our honor and what our Motherland stood for, and defamed the memory of the Soviet Union.

It was not enough that you carry the full blame for what transpired in our country under you leadership. You went forward to the dismemberment of the Soviet Union and of the CPSU willingly and with malice. You, who for scores of years were worming your way up and down the ladder of power, you lied to your comrades, you lied daily and monthly and yearly to more and more Soviet people.

When you became the head of the country, you came out with a slogan: 'More democracy, more socialism!", which was supported by the people. But you yourself already knew that you were lying. And even with happiness in your heart you left the Kremlin in 1991 during the counterrevolution - as a man who knew that he had done a good job.

The fact that you are not a communist, is well known by al the people. For 10 years I looked upon you as a social democrat, and maybe more "honest", not like the type of Messrs. Yakovlev or Shevernadze. Your absolutely shameless anti-communism is like a spike into the soul of all, who in their time, but not for very long, idealized you.

Even today, you are lying. You are the one who dismembered socialism inside the USSR and in other European socialist countries... but you will never ever be able to liquidate Communism, not its ideas, not its organizational form - nor us, the dedicated Communists!

You have done the most ignoble political betrayal!

With your actions you are now helping those of our and foreign communists who are trying hard to legitimize Stalin's repressive actions. If the top leadership of the communist government of USSR during 1980's were traitors and double-faced, then it's easier to believe that such were many leaders before who were Lenin's comrade in arms. If there would have been killed even one million more people, then there would not be the "perestroika" that you brought in!

You are making deeper cleavages between the communists and social democrats. Our party, the Russian Communist Party-CPSU wants to cooperate and unite with all masses who are for socialism and against the fascist danger We are always against any misunderstanding and animosity between all of the left wing movements.

And last but not least - you are threatening Communists in China. You cannot do this and it is impossible by the likes of you!

I am unfortunately not powerful enough to bring you to justice. But in all truthfulness I am saying this to you, you scoundrel, Mikhail Sergeivich!

The dictionary of Ozhegov describes the word meanness as "despicable, no honor and very vile." The dictionary by Ushakov says that this word means "low immoral, disgraceful". All these two meanings belong to you!

Please regard this letter as public. I am appealing to you to come and give yourself up to the courts to defend your honor. Try to show the courts that you do have some honor left.

A. Prigarin
Secretary Central Committee
Russian Communist party-CPSU

COMMENT

An excellent "Open Letter" to Gorbachev by comrade Prigarin. Unfortunately there are even now "anti-Stalinists" both inside and outside the borders of the former Soviet Union. This anti-Stalinism now, 45 years after the death of Stalin serves only Imperialism and all other enemies of socialism.

Could the People Be Wrong

These were the heroes, the dedicated Communists who saved the world from Fascism! Will the present generation have the courage to struggle against imperialism!

In the period of the Soviet Union (after 1953) it was always stated: the people are always right! Yes, the people were right, the party was right and the working collective was right before 1953. We were brought up to honor and believe in the wisdom of the people and the collective. We did not listen to the liberal-democratic personalities like Bulkagov, Ligachev, Sakharov, Solzhenitsyn and others before.

To my estimation, 1991 showed that the party, the collective and the people leading the party were wrong. Otherwise things in the former USSR would not be the way they are now. All the years since 1991 have now confirmed this. Not taking away the facts of Imperialism and of the West mixing into our internal affairs and of the pro-Western leanings of our intelligencia that caused the debacle and the dismemberment of the CPSU and the USSR in 1991, we must look at other "attacking battalions" who took part in this dismemberment frenzy of our Soviet Motherland, its consequences in all other socialist countries and also the progressive movement all over the world.

Where were our Soviet people and all of the working collectives? Most were quiet and asleep during "perestroika" and the bloodshed of 1993 in front of the Supreme Soviet White House. They enmeshed themselves into the "new Russia" under the Vlasov flag, while in Ukraine in the "new Ukraine" - under the nationalist Banderite flag. We were zombieized with the technological media day in day out. They adopted personal interests instead of collective interests. They all wanted to live as "they live in America" these leaders always told us.

And where was or is the glorious Soviet working class and the dedicated Soviet collective farmers? Where is our revolutionary Soviet Hammer and Sickle?

Where are our Heroes of Labor, the Heroes of the 5-Year Plans? Some are in "yellow trade unions" (former schools of communism) while others have become businessmen or the new so-called Russian "middle-class", while still others have adopted a new ideology of political revisionism and are now finding and dissecting Marxism-Leninism and looking for a "third way". Where are all the "Red Directors" of the Collective and State Farms or the Soviet enterprises? They all became the owners of the industries and the dismembered lands of USSR that comprised the collective and state farms.

Where are our "Komsomols-volunteers" of all ranks? They are now in all of the commercial structures, together with their elder "comrades" who said "we need it" and the Komsomols answer, "yes, we'll do it!"

Where are all the "defenders of the sacred Soviet soil, the Soviet Army?" Where are all the Soviet Marshals... they are serving the new masters now. It is they (most of them) who have with their own hands helped to dismember the Soviet Union. They are now just servants and soldiers of fortune for the new bourgeois regime. We do not even talk about the Generals who obeyed the command of Yeltsin and drowned in blood the defenders of the White House in 1993!

Where are the Soviet Academicians, Scientists, Professors who were the elite of Soviet society, who were trained and supported by the Soviet working class? They are now members of different Western Capitalist Funds, Societies, Agencies in the service of capitalism.

Therefore we should no only blame the West, Imperialism and NATO, these external enemies whose hands are bloodied in the dismemberment of the USSR, as some are doing now, even though the treason committed by the likes of traitors like Gorbachev, Yakovlev, Yeltsin and others, is self evident, but we must also look closely at the former Soviet intelligencia whose guilt is enormous and cannot ever be washed away or forgiven.

All of us, Soviet citizens must also take blame upon our shoulders. We only now realize as to what we allowed to happen to our Soviet Motherland. Our Soviet people are clever, and are ready to admit what happened. But this is just the first step.

What is needed now, above all else is a dedicated son of the Soviet people to lead one Communist party, the party of dedicated Communists to defend the people. The people need a dedicated leader, a genuine Marxist-Leninist who has the courage to lead the masses towards Socialism.

Heroic leaders are born in the heat of battles and struggles, that are seen and honored by the people, not in constant discussions in the corridors or in secret agreements. The Soviet people are ready to follow such a leader - this then will be the correct road to Great Victory!

This newspaper is published by volunteers and by volunteer donations and is aimed at the Russian working class In their appeal to the readers they have stated their aims which we publish some excerpts from:

* We do not want to slowly die without any struggle against the present parasitic regime.

* We do not want to be just an ignorant mass of sheep.

* We do not want that our children should die in the mountains of Chechnya for all the oil barons and parasites, that our children should kill other children such as they are.

* We are guilty in that we allowed these class parasites to impose upon us the bourgeois exploitive regime, who laugh and besmirch our glorious heroes and history who died for our freedom and the freedom of the world.

* We are responsible for the future of our children and grandchildren. We defeated the ruling class in 1917, we defeated German fascism and liberated our Great Motherland. Our fathers, mother and grandfathers had to bear a terrible cost in human sacrifices for all of mankind. Our grandparents build up our Socialist Motherland they laid the foundations for our future. We cannot let them down!

How Zyuganov Helped Putin Win the Election!

This press release over the Internet by the magazine "The Moscow Times" is very revealing in detail as to what happened during the presidential election in Russia. This magazine is certainly not left-wing or to be confused as a pro-socialist publication… but its very well researched article is worth quoting... although in a very summarized form.

"Moscow Times" has documented enough falsification in the last March 26th presidential election to question the legitimacy of the vote. Yevgenia Borisova reported from the districts like Dagestan, Tatarstan, Ingushetia, Bashkortostan and Moscow, plus telephone interviews in Novosibirsk, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Kabardino-Balksariya and Mordovia, Kaliningrad, Vladivostok and also Chechnya... to declare outright that Putin stole the election and Zyuganov knew it and did not do anything about this outright falsification!

On Sunday, April 16th, three weeks after the March 26th election it was "officially" confirmed that Putin received 52.94% of the vote.

The CPRF and Yabloko parties indirectly accused Putin of falsification... and charged that it was a deadly serious federal crime. But no direct challenge was made to Putin or through the Russian courts by their Central Committees.

An officer appointed by the State Duma came to Makhachkala to investigate and hear a report by a Security Guard, Magomedov who saw and tried to apprehend two dark limousines of the State apparatus when they went into the polling station, took out bags full of ballots and burned them, threatening him with loss of jobs or worse if he interferes. These ballots were all destroyed. The next day he filed a complaint to the authorities, but no action was taken. He is willing to testify in court but he is being warned that harm would come to him. His, as were other complaints also went through the same ordeal, threatened in no uncertain terms.

During the six months of investigations since the elections, The Moscow Times had uncovered scores of fraudulent actions and outright thievery of ballots. In Dagestan alone it is possible to definitely document over 87,000 votes that were stolen by Putin. And this is only a tip of an iceberg of those districts that were not afraid to tell us this... others were very afraid even to cooperate with our investigation, due to threats. In Dagestan over 700,000 votes were wrongly awarded to Putin from Zyuganov. After this Dagestan expose, it is possible to challenge outright almost a fourth of Putin's national margin of victory as highly questionable.

In Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, where we are told that Putin won 2.87 million of the 4.46 million votes cast... we found out that the ballot boxes were stuffed with ballots for Putin, using all falsified names, names from the dead in cemeteries and also adding 2-3 stories to many apartment buildings that never did have that high buildings.

It was found out that in most districts where Putin won, regional governors went to vertical chain of bullying. Everyone from collective or private farm chairmen, to college professors were forced to vote for Putin. Some critics have gone as far as to point out that people in positions of authority forced people under them to cast their ballots for Putin openly or lose their jobs!

Even in war-torn Chechnya where human bloodshed is rampant, where their loved ones are dying in this war, Putin was proclaimed a winner... getting over 50.63% of the vote!!??

Perhaps the most startling discovery of our six month investigation was the one that emerged from Central Election Commission of Russia and their Web site; the official number of registered voters grew by over 1.3 million in the three months between the December 19th State Duma elections and the March 26 presidential elections - and there are no good explanation as to why. It is obvious the over 1.3 million voters were "dead souls"!

Also, we found out that in some villages voting booths pens and ballots were snatched from the hands of voters and the election officials then marked those ballots themselves for Putin. These people are willing to testify about this crime. Some pensioners were even threatened by officials that their pensions would be taker away if they do not vote for Putin.

The inescapable conclusion is that Vladimir Putin would not have won outright on the first ballot on March 26, 2000 without cheating.

It is tellingly interesting that the same top members of the CPRF who so indignantly laid out evidence of fraud in the first round, all freely conceded Putin would have easily won in a second round anyway!??

There were about 440 law suits filed in courts across Russia to contest the election fraud, besides the election commission receiving untold thousands of formal complaints. But there was no FORMAL complaint from the CC CPRF, including the presidential candidate himself - Gennady Zyuganov."

COMMENT

Zyuganov and the leadership of CPRF knew what was going on!

Why did not the CPRF call upon the people to go into the streets to protest all over Russia?

When such bourgeois publications as the Russian "Moscow Times" write about this and make this point, the Soviet people must realize as to who is a "Trojan Horse" amongst the Communist ranks!

A New Voice Appears

Below we publish a photo of the first issue of "Council of Workers Deputies" newspaper that appeared in Moscow in October with a condensed version of its Editorial by the Editor, I. Gubkin.

We publish this condensed Editorial since it shows the anxiety, unhappiness and demoralization with the present situation in former Soviet Union. Young people are ready to take up arms and fight and die for Socialism and the rebirth of the USSR. Our readers might not agree with what Gubkin writes, but NSC always presents different currents that are appearing in the former Soviet Union as the struggle starts to intensify.

"The Third Congress of the Citizens of USSR" has proclaimed that this newspaper shall be its official organ. Why have we decided to publish this newspaper but not from any communist party that now exists? Because not one of the existing Communist parties has declared itself for an armed struggle against the present regime. All of these "legal" parties and the "contemporary" communist parties are but a legal entity of the present counterrevolutionary regime. They consider themselves as "opposition" and trying in a "civilized" manner to fight the predator regime. Not one of these parties are any danger to the present Russian regime... and some of them do not want to present any danger to the bourgeoisie. The only movement that is dedicated to the overthrow is the movement called "For the Soviet Union".

The only real danger for the present regime in Russia is a strong and united peoples front, not based on patriotism only, but based on the feelings of the people as they deem themselves SOVIET! When there is an enemy on our territory (as was Fascism during the Great Patriotic War) the first steps that were and should be taken, was to immediately start formations of the Soviet army and the partisan movement.

This first number of our newspaper will be the vanguard of organizing armed insurrection by all means at our disposal. We know that the present regime will consider us as anti-constitutional and a jail term of 5-6 years awaits not only its Editor but the Soviet patriots willing to chase the enemy from our soil. We are going to publish this newspaper until we get enough financial backing to have it published also illegally. Have we got those people now? No we have not at the moment. But, what are we going to do, just wait until the decision from the heavens comes that will get rid of the present regime?

We decided that we must not wait but start the armed struggle, as did our parents and grandparents before us. Taking the place of the to be jailed comrades, other fighters shall fill their ranks. Success will come when hundreds of thousands of people arise, following the call to arms. The Soviet World War II Commissars knew that to lead the army, they must be at the front and they went into battle with the cry of "For the Motherland! For Stalin!" They did not wait or debate or hold constant meetings.

The most important thing is for the masses to understand, see and follow the movement for the liquidation of the present regime. Starting in Russia the wind shall blow and bring other Soviet people into the war of liberation. Parliamentary means are there in order to hoodwink the people only. Fallen heroes will be replaced by hundreds of others. There is no other way. History has shown this to us over and over again!

Our path is correct, victory shall be ours!

Russian Communist Workers' Party Tenth Congress

The Tenth Congress of the RCWP took place on October 20-22 in Cheliabinsk. The report by the Central Committee on the political situation in the country and on the tasks of the party was welcomed by the delegates and participants. In particular, the report noted that: "Uninterrupted crisis of the capitalist economic system in Russia as well as in other former Soviet republics, has been forcing the ruling class to abolish even the limited bourgeois freedoms and parliamentary principles for the sake of staying in power.

By interpreting the Russian constitution without encumbrance, by violating human rights, Putin's regime is setting up a structure of his own absolute presidential power with quite a specific composition of cadres. A harsher labour code and severe laws regarding political parties and elections are in preparation.

The delegates came up with the task of converting all present independent workers' organizations to the positions of struggle for the basic class interests - the working people's power. While working to build the workers' trade union "Zashchita", the RCWP branches are to campaign for the unity of trade unionist's actions, and to agitate the ordinary members of the official Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (FNPR), to change to the positions of class-based trade unions.

In light of the present deepening problems in Russian agriculture, the Congress instructed the party Central Committee (RCWP) to intensify the work amongst the peasants.

Particular attention was paid to working amongst the youth, and the next Plenum will be devoted to this question. New opportunities for much closer relations with the Revolutionary Young Communist League have been found. Their leader, Oleg Alesksejev has been accepted into the Central Committee of the RCWP.

The Congress identified the necessity to oppose absolutism, which aims to restrict bourgeois democracy and has drawn up specific measures to prepare the party work in more complex and representative conditions, which are to be expected with Putin's political system which is tending to fascism.

The party's profile depends on the condition of its official organ, the newspaper "Trudovaya Rossija" (Working People's Russia). The Congress encouraged party members to raise more funds for the newspaper and to contribute with local reports. The resolution on party press sets the task to improve its contents and to make it more easily available to workers in other former Soviet republics.

There was a very clear indication that the Party enjoys an authority in the labour movement worldwide. Fraternal and friendly parties in over 20 countries sent their messages to greet the Russian Communist Workers' Party on the occasion of its 10th Congress.

A program was passed to outline the future steps in the process of unification of all communist forces in Russia and the rest of Soviet territory.

Comrade Victor Tiulkin was reelected to the position of the First Secretary.
