One of the programs on Radio "Freedom" in Ukrainian language was devoted exclusively to explaining what these people called "Sovka" really are. This terminology was born amongst the present "liberal clique" of intelligencia who hate everything that was called Soviet. With this name-calling they blacken a person who was Soviet and who gave his life, energy and thoughts for the betterment of everyone. Day and day out, these present "liberals" are heaping abuse, dirt, lies and also false information against the Soviet Union, and they do receive handsomely dollars that are paid by the CIA for their services.
What is the main criticism of a Soviet person? It is a fact that the Soviet person waited and received all the help he needed from the Soviet State, that he was dedicated to socialism and to communist ideals, that he considered the betterment of all people more than that of himself, that he served the people and internationalism instead of building nationalism.
These present nationalists do not like the fact that still these people are hankering back to what they had before, because this hampers the proceeding "reforms". That is why, according to this "Freedom" radio station… it is time to eliminate and defeat this Soviet feeling. Even if this has to be done physically.
Why is all of this negative programming necessary, now that the elections are coming up? It is because the disillusioned and fooled people are still waiting for the state to help them to set things right. They cannot still understand that the present state now is not what the state was under socialism. It is these present "reforms" that are the cause of the problems. And in spite of all the media which is trying to influence the people, the people will not give their votes to the "RUKH" party, which is now only supported in Western Ukraine, but even there, the votes are getting smaller and smaller.
These present rulers are the ones who proclaim that they are for the "independence of Ukraine." Under their dictates the streets and squares of Ukraine are being renamed with the names of all the Ukrainian nationalist war criminals like Bandera, Stetsko, Shukhevich and Roman. School books are being rewritten and everything that had to do with the glorious history of Soviet Ukraine is now being eliminated.

2% of these "New Ukrainians" have grabbed 90% of all the riches and resources of Ukraine. 80% of the people are living below the poverty line as stated by the United Nations. 70% get paid only the bare minimum to exist, and for that, they have to wait many months.
This radio station "Freedom" demands that an individual must have more rights than the state! This now has caused untold hardships, for the people, mafiosi structures, robbery, narcotics, prostitution and sheer robbery in order to deposit the loot into foreign banks. The result of all of this is that man to man is a wolf.
Yes, the Soviet person hates all that is connected with capitalism, because he was devoted to the ideals of good, equality and truthfulness. We, Soviet people are proud of what we had achieved under socialism and the USSR. We were devoted to the Communist party when the leaders were truly Marxists-Leninists.
Two different pictures of life and two different types of man.
To see a graphic difference of this, compare the feature films of the Soviet period and the films and TV programs that are being shown now. Soviet films were permeated with good and humankind. The present films actually portray what the present regime is like, showing robbery, gangsterism, pornography, violence and inhumanity.
One of the reasons for the temporary demise of the USSR is the fact that after 1953 there was a growth of individualism, egoism, promoted by the CPSU leadership, which, like cancer cells, stated to grow. There came a change of generations, who were brought up on all the goodies of socialism, not really capable of working for the betterment of everyone and not appreciating what socialism brought the people. The class question was forgotten and only individualism and only "me first" took hold of the people. The new forces inside the CPSU started a policy of dismemberment of socialism, economy and culture, basing themselves on Western culture, which was allowed to influence and penetrate from top to bottom by Imperialism. The growth of individualism, nationalism and don’t give a damn became the norm.
But in the working people there are roots sprouting and reaching deeper and deeper into the soil of understanding of Sovietism. Today, they are able to compare what was "before" and what is "now." That is why all of these present dogs of nationalism are desperately trying to eliminate from the thinking of people the word Soviet, Socialism or Soviet Union!
