The Russian newspaper "For Workers Cause" reported that the official registration of their party is now complete, since the present Russian regime has given this part permission to field candidates in all of the elections in future.

The only other party that Yeltsin and Putin regime allowed to take part in elections and registered as an official party in Russia, is the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF-Zyuganov) plus now the Russian Workers Party. This new party is working and organizing among the workers and trade unionists. The Putin government gave them the registration in April of this year.

It is interesting that in Russia alone, there are 176 parties, groups, associations and movements, many of whom applied already for official government recognition, such as: Russian Communist Workers Party-Russian Party of Communists, All Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, Union of Communist Parties-CPSU, Russian Communist Party-CPSU and others – but did not receive that recognition!

This organization is opposing Latvia’s being admitted into NATO. According to the RIA Novosti correspondent, the organization submitted a strong letter to the US President and the US Congress. This organization unites Jews that survived in Latvia during World War II and who now live all over the world.

The authors of this open letter, which was made public in Latvia, wrote that during World War II, almost all of the Jewish population, about 85,000, were exterminated. Moreover, this open letter states the following: "not only the German Nazis, but also the volunteer squads of Latvian SS legion participated in the bloodshed!"

According to this letter, one of the conditions for Latvian admission into NATO is the government’s public recognition of genocide against Jews in their country.

"At this time, the present Latvian government, unlike other countries, finds it impossible to apologize for the crimes committed," the open letter in particular comments.

Estonia Puts on Trial All Anti-Fascists

The trial in Estonia against all anti-fascists who fought against fascism during the Second World War opened up August 22 and is heavily political and reactionary in essence.

According to the Russian Embassy in Estonia, Vladimir Penart, a Russian citizen, born in 1925, a veteran of the Soviet security service, is standing trial in Valga, plus many others, charged by the Estonian authorities for "crimes against humanity." The Estonian regime has adopted a law on July 22, 2002 that proclaimed all Soviet law-enforcement bodies as being "criminal organizations."

It is an open secret that the Estonian government is in the process of very quickly rehabilitating all Nazi criminals and their collaborationists.

NATO Shall Not Pass!

In the Ukraine press it was already published many times that Kuchma and Co. have applied and are promoted to be a member of NATO. The Ukrainian government and the Defense Ministry have approved this Kuchma sponsored move to unite Ukraine to this aggressive block, called NATO.

Is this decision based on existing laws?

This decision by Kuchma’s regime is illegal, since the Ukrainian Constitution stipulates that Ukraine is not to belong to any military block. NATO as the events in Yugoslavia, Iraq and Afghanistan and many other places, shows very clearly that NATO is absolutely not a defensive organization but an offensive one.

Who is it that NATO is defending? Is there anyone who believes this fairy tale that North Korea or Cuba, Iran or Iraq are preparing to attack the USA or Germany? Did Yugoslavia and did Slobodan Milosevic threaten the USA? Can the Serbian women and children be called terrorists, when they died by the terror bombing of NATO?

What must we then call this present Ukrainian government, which is trying by all means to be part of this aggressive NATO block?

What about the present day Ukrainian Constitution? Well, that means that Kuchma and his regime, by joining NATO and its aggressive policies, can and must be called themselves terrorists! Then, what is the use of the present Ukrainian Constitution?

What must we do in this situation?

In the first place it is necessary to make certain that a unified movement of these countries should be on the scene now or very soon.

In the second place, efforts by these countries to unite, whose integrity and territory is being under threat or attack… US calling this threat only "globalization". The following countries are under this American threat, Russia, China, India, Vietnam, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Iraq and others. Such a united front, as a former Soviet rocket officer remarked – "would break all the teeth of any aggressor that dared attack."

In the third place, all of the left-wing parties and movements in Ukraine must unite their efforts against this danger. It is a fact that US imperialism sees in the Ukraine a much needed base of operations against all the peoples of former USSR and in the first place to expel Russian influence whatsoever from this large 1/6 of the territory of the world.

In the fourth place, the reactionary policies of "globalization" must be fought by the strength of proletarian internationalism, and under this slogan, unite all the working class of the world, irrespective of national borders, and establish the workers control over their destiny. Peace thus achieved will show the road towards the future for all of mankind… Communism!

We are all workers, who produce the riches of all countries, and we must unite as one against this danger of Imperialism-Globalization.

The Name of Stalin!

In the newspaper "Serp and Molot" (Hammer and Sickle) Siberian residents wrote an article. These were participants in the heroic defense of Stalingrad. They demanded from the authorities and showed them in historical documentary evidence, the role that Stalingrad played in the history of the USSR. Like the saying goes – nothing you can subtract, nothing you can add!

Therefore, we the participants and veterans of the Battle of Stalingrad, who now live in the Wolosowsky section of Leningrad Region, we consider that it is necessary to immediately restore this historical justice, to give back the honor and respect to the leader of the Soviet government at that time- Joseph Stalin, who, led the Soviet people in order to save the socialist Motherland and our native land – and also the world civilization from the fascist enslavement.

We the participants of the Battle of Stalingrad are now few in numbers. We want that the Hero City, for whose defense thousands laid down their lives, should forever carry the name of glorious STALINGRAD!

Every morning, Saturdays and Sundays, it doesn’t matter what the weather is like, regularly at his spot in the Lugansk Central Market – Mikhail Kharchenko opens up his standing table and displays for sale newspapers, such "The Working Class," the "Communist" and other Russian communist newspapers. The people do not only look at the newspapers, but at the hand drawn signs with revolutionary slogans, the slogans that state the real situation as it is now in Ukraine.

"Capitalism is dirt", "Down with the present regime!" "To save Ukraine can be only by the resurrection of Soviet Union", "People of Ukraine are dying silently and without notice!", "Voting is a waste of time and only supports the present bourgeois regime!" and many others that Kharchenko changes very often.

People stop, read, discuss, debate, argue and many times buy the newspapers.

This is the dedication of Kharchenko who became a party member in 1944. But it is bitter to admit as to how many former party card carrying members who threw their cards out or hid them, how many became bitter enemies or just adopted the present regime’s policy!

But there were and are dedicated communists like Kharchenko. Why did he not abandon his dedication and his solemn oath to serve the people? Why? Because he belongs to those heroic fighters and generation, who saw the gains of the Great October Revolution, and he loved the workers-peasants Soviet State.

He is a son of ordinary workers, having finished his aviation schooling in Voroshilovgrad. In 1943 he became a fighter pilot in the Navy and finished the war as a colonel, commander of the air squadron. Of the 111 fighter pilots that graduated and fought against the fascists, only 25 men were left alive. For people like Mikhail Kharchenko, Socialism, Motherland, USSR, Soviet State – were and are not empty phrases.

He is a member of the Communist Party of Ukraine, many times debating the policy of the CPU and criticizing its program, he is fighting the battle as hard as he fought the German fascists.

As was always the case in the Red Army, if the commander got killed, it was the bravest, the most resolute, the dedicated soldier who took over the command.

As soon as the Communist Party of Ukraine got banned, Kharchenko started the process of setting up a party organization anew and organized.

"Do as I did and as you must do!" Kharchenko tells everyone to whom the Soviet Motherland is dear.
