In the past year it had been claimed by politicians, media and others that the world has changed forever on September 11, 2001, the day after the attack on New York and the Pentagon. The event is often compared to the attack on Pearl Harbor by Japan on December 7, 1941.
This comparison rests on two similarities:
Both attacks have drawn the USA into war. (WW II and the War on Terrorism).
Both attacks are said to have been "surprise attacks) on the unsuspected nation (the USA).
A comparison between the two events can indeed be made, but there is much evidence that the similarities are not quite what we are told today.
In 1941, World War II raged all over Europe, but the USA stood on the sidelines. President Franklin D. Roosevelt wanted the US to enter the war, but the American people were in no mood to be drawn into the conflict and declare war against Germany. What was needed was a surprise attack to shake the American people out of their lethargy and support the war.
Enter the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
A surprise attack indeed, for the population and much of the military. According to the document evidence, but not for the FDR or a few of his trusted men:
1: The US was warned by at least the governments of Britain, the Netherlands, Australia, Peru, Korea and the Soviet Union, that a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor was coming. All important Japanese codes were broken. FDR, General Marshall and others knew the attack was coming, but they allowed it and covered up their knowledge.
In fact, as the result of the findings of a Top Secret US Army Board Report of October 1944, US General Marshall offered his resignation, testifying at the MacArthur hearings that he considered loyalty to his chief superior above loyalty to his country.
Does this sound familiar? In an earlier report "The Truth about the 9-11", published in NSC of April 2002, reference was made to Zbigniew Brzezinski’s book "The Grand Chessboard", written in 1997, in which he predicted Afghanistan would be attacked by the USA, but after only after a "Pear Harbor type of attack on the USA to gain the support of the American population". The similarity is truly uncanny! Here too, we are dealing with an administration (Bush) that had been warned about the pending attack by the intelligence agencies sources from many countries. They knew that the attack was coming, but they did nothing to prevent it. Instead, they let it happen in order to further their war agenda.
According to the records, the US suffered 1,403 deaths and 1,178 wounded in Pear Harbor. Eighteen US ships were sunk or seriously damaged. 188 Airplanes were destroyed and 162 damaged. These are on the conscience of FDR and his insiders.
The Japanese had 644 deaths, lost 29 airplanes and 5 midget submarines.
On the conscience of George W. Bush (if indeed he has a conscience) and his regime are the deaths of over 3,000 US citizens as well as a loss of numerous buildings in New York and the Pentagon. Reportedly the attackers suffered 19 deaths in the attacks.
So, has the world really changed since September 11, 2001, or is it just more of the same?
