Dear readers:
This NSC issue contains articles, analyses and thoughts about the present madness of US leadership and their NATO allies in the planned attack against Iraq, as a first step towards lording it over the oil rich Middle East, and onward towards the under belly of Russia and its future dismemberment into small fiefdoms, all at the mercy of US imperialism and their New World Order.
This February issue was to have contained the very good news for all friends of Soviet People – a report on the establishment, after a long time, of the Russian Society for Friendship with Foreign Countries – a partner and a counterpart to the International Council. But, because of the very real danger of war against Iraq, as a prelude for the US New World Order, we felt that this important issue should contain articles dealing with this war danger.
With the growth of anti-war movement all over the world in numbers and intensity, reminding one of the successful anti-Vietnam war movement… Northstar Compass received many letters, e-mails and telephone calls that in essence want to know why China or Russia do not utilize their Security Council Veto to stop this madness?
As our Credo pointed out in the last NSC issue…"we act as a united front, but are not a forum for ideological debate". Having said that, NSC has the right to express its opinion, since mankind is in REAL danger. It is only logical that mankind is looking in earnest for some one to stop this madness of going to war! First it was Afghanistan, to hunt for bin Laden. Now that USA cannot find bin Laden as the "evil one" even with their high-tech technology, now the target is Iraq and Saddam Hussein is the target. Afghanistan is forgotten, bin Laden is forgotten…elections in the USA are coming, so another "evil" must be found.
We know where bin Laden could be… maybe having tea and relaxing at the Bush Ranch in Texas!
China and Russia as well as France, Britain and Germany are all making deals behind the scenes with the leadership of Iraq, with or without Saddam Hussein at the helm. These bourgeois imperialists do not care about the devastation they have caused or will cause to Iraq, with the forthcoming war that again will be thrown at the people of Iraq, besides the danger of this war escalating into an inferno in the Middle East. The US economy needs a boost and it is hell-bent on getting the oil reserves, no matter how many millions suffer or die!
We feel that this issue has done the best it can to inform our readers from many points of view, the horrendous suffering that will be inflicted upon humanity, on both sides of the conflict.
Therefore, March issue of NSC will contain the news and statement of the Russian Friendship Society with Foreign Countries and the plans for future expansion of work between our International Council and this new organization, in order to help the Soviet people re-establish the Soviet Union and Socialism, thus serving as a mighty bulwark against future plans of Imperialism and the shock-troops of NATO to try and build a New World Order.
Mankind will not allow history to repeat itself!
