Never before has American imperialism been confronted by such wide spread world opposition, as it is today. Even such loyal-cooperative countries as France and Germany have parted company. Surprising enough, Germany and France have become the spearheads of the anti-war movement. They proposed the axis of cooperation of Paris, Berlin, Moscow and Beijing. I feel that by the time this article in NSC is published, the attack against Iraq would have started. But, the hegemony of the United States with its so-called allies has been broken. People do not want war! They want peace!
Nevertheless, leaders of some of the former Soviet republics, are cooperating with the across the ocean terrorists, are pushing their people towards disaster and their national liquidation. They are rushing towards joining NATO! Logically, not even god himself would have been able to make this happen! How can we explain, that leaders of countries like Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and others have given their signatures together with 8 countries of Europe to have USA attack Iraq? Do not the people of these countries know, what war is all about? But these marionettes have their own logic.

of Ukraine announced that Ukraine is willing to send to Iraq their specialists
in chemical and biological warfare (?!) But he says he is trying to join "Europe"!
But Europe is in their majority protesting against the war! But is our republic
a part of Asia? Or is it on a different continent? The more time that passes,
the more the Soviet people realize the difference between socialism and
capitalism. President Kuchma is not trying to join Europe as such, he is
hell-bent to join NATO in order to protect his behind from the wrath of the
people.
Not too very long ago, during Soviet times, our Ukraine belonged to the most developed and advanced countries. We had top-notch armed forces for our defence, modern technology. Why was it that Ukraine was systematically disarmed and its rocket forces liquidated and our defence shield taken off? If that is so, why then must Ukraine have agreed to have a NATO defence shield? That means that we have to buy NATO arms, manufactured in the USA and be at the disposal to NATO war plans.
And yes, another thing. Why must Ukraine have NATO warplanes, rockets, missiles, tanks, if our present soldiers cannot handle even our own? All of us remember, when an Ukrainian rockets short down a civilian plane over the Black Sea. What about the disasters near Kiev, where a rocket landed right into a home where people perished. Near Lvov where the pilots were flying, the pilot lost control and the plane plowed and exploded into a gathering of people…
The qualifications of the present Ukraine soldiers and pilots had now drastically fallen. Because there is a shortage of fuel, the pilots have accidents and are not qualified to fly. If these accidents continue like this, in 4-5 years there is a real possibility that Ukraine will not have any aviation. The conditions of the army are not any better…over 50,000 soldier’s families have no place to live, but in tents. Where will Kuchma get the $$$ to refit the Ukrainian Army to be part of NATO? After all, there are strings attached to get these armaments etc. Is this necessary for Soviet people?
But, again we ask, why does Kuchma pushing Ukraine to be involved in the war against Iraq? He and his predecessor Krawchuk dismembered Ukraine and helped to dismember the USSR. majority of industries and enterprises are not working. Farming-agriculture is in a terrible crisis. The population of Ukraine during these reforms has dwindled by 4 million people.
And now again war? Any war always brings on a counter offensive. Does anyone think that the Arabs, even if Iraq is defeated, will just sit and fold their arms?
Then where is this ex-party member Kuchma pushing Ukraine?
People, stop this madness and these war hawks! Let us not allow terror to reign, started and fanned by American imperialism in their global new world order!
Long live peace and friendship between peoples!
