Public knowledge and screaming headlines revealed yet another "imperial" US monopoly "oil war" act by dubiously endowed, somewhat moronic US President George W. "Dubya" Bush. With the notable "exploit" having co-opted "God" as his helper, this junior version Bush is relentlessly carrying out the previous senior Bush rampages and gangster-like theft of former Soviet resources in the energy "oil" field. Of course Bush Sr. had the connivance and assistance of the counter-revolutionary Schevernadze and President Ronald Reagan’s friend, Mikhail Gorbachev of the same counter-revolutionary ilk. Now however, with the US oil monopoly interests drastically widened with war in Iraq, destabilization of the Arab Muslim world and to include Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia et al, George "Dubya" and his ferocious support team around Vice President Cheney corporate powers, Halliburton, Carlyle etc. he decreed that "old friendships" don’t count in the "oil" procurement game. Schevernadze simply had to go, since he was blocking and or raising the ante on the US oil-pipeline program that called for Georgia to become the host country to the "East-West Energy Corridor."
It is not exactly a new or unfamiliar act if one examines the list of deposed heads of state of oil rich countries, beginning with Iranian president Mossadegh in 1953 and continuing into 2003 with Saddam Hussein of Iraq. The "East-West Energy Corridor" has many a lucrative twist in it for the Bush oil-clan and their militarized "fellow-traveling" looters.
It is more than interesting to note some of the events
leading to the current debacle in Georgia. Public information again inform that
as early as 1989-90 Schevernadze, carrying an official title of Foreign Affairs
Minister of USSR’s counter-revolutionary Mikhail Gorbachev Government spent
unspecified and secretive time in talks with President Bush’s senior Secretary
of State James Baker ( a deeply involved oil company tycoon) on the
latter’s ranch. Following these secretive talks, the vast billions plus
barrels of oil reserves in the massive Tengiz oil field, were handed over to the
super oil monopoly Chevron-Standard of California. This was revealed in the on
the front page of the New York Times, 15/08/92. What also followed was the
dismantling and the destruction of the USSR and Presidency for Schevernadze in
his native Georgia, adjacent to the Tengiz "oil steal". The
further inevitable result was the creation of a monopoly dominated "unipolar
world". Therein lies humanities desperate and deadly situation where
today it is almost impossible to place a finger anyplace on the world map where
unbridled war, Imperialist and military domination and the crushing of
democratic, social and cultural standards for the vast majority of people is
rampant or threatening. The Bush oil-clan, Schevernadze – Georgian story is a
key element and illustrates the voracious appetite of the US-British and other
imperial monopoly interests. As a political, economic and social system these
psychotic powers cannot exist without war, war preparation and destruction of
human rights of every kind.
The unvarnished fact of the current "take-over" in Georgia by the so-called "Western sympathetic" forces rests on a few central developments. First, Schevernadze corrupted and destroyed the living standards of the Georgian people, who previously had established, under Soviet socialism a relatively a high standard of life, and a national identity, with the full strength of the Soviet Union behind them. Press reports of 24/11/03 published in Toronto, Canada, state that under Schevernadze:
"….corruption became widespread and crime grew out of control…the economy fell into ruins…the average salary now hovers around $50 (US) a month. Tens of thousands…remain in Tbilisi living in extremely squalid conditions. The…infrastructure is falling apart and outages often leave residents without gas or electricity for days…" (Toronto Star, page A8).
It is hardly surprising that the vast masses of people shown
on television screens swarmed to enthusiastically support and cheer the peaceful
"take-over" of the Parliament in the middle of the
counter-revolutionary Presidents speech. The conditions created by his
twelve-year "love-in" and "sell out" of
the Georgian peoples rights, we believe had much more to do with their actions
than some hyped and suspiciously created, USA’s backed "election
fraud". It was revealed by the Toronto Globe & Mail newspaper
article of 24/11/04 "Politics, Pipelines Coverage in Georgia"
written in Tbilisi by Mark McKinnon, that following a "secret 25
year deal" between the Russian Gazprom monopoly and Georgia, and a
further "profit unlimited" deal to a Russian firm that had "cut-off"
the US-backed AES in highly profitable monopoly control of electrical energy…"Washington’s
reaction was swift…" Almost immediately President Bush (the
junior) sent a senior advisor, Stephen Mann to Tbilisi with a warning
that the Georgians "should not do anything that undercuts the
powerful promise of an East-West energy corridor…"(emphasis added). It
was a clear warning that the USA oil interests by military or other means would
be served.
As it turned out, this was to be done at counter-revolutionary Schevernadze’s expense, and the promotion of the US trained Mikhail Saakashvilli… touted as "pro-Western") to the leading public position…at least on US television and most of the western media.
It can be anticipated very clearly that unless the Georgian people intervene to prevent it, the long-term design of US monopolies to transport the vast quantities of Caucasian and South Asiatic regional oil into US tankers by way of a pipeline across Georgia, will be realized. Virtual total market controls will thus lie in the hands of US oil monopolies…including their kept and paid for puppets and Governmental figures.
Interestingly, also revealed in the G&L article is the fact that Richard Milnes, the US Ambassador to Tbilisi was posted in Serbia during the period when Slobodan Milosevic was "toppled" from his presidency of that NATO and CIA ridden country. He too served the US monopoly oil clan interests, according to MacKinnon who wrote "…he made the rounds of Tbilisi, giving tacit support to the opposition’s contention that Schevernadze had to go." We can be forgiven we believe that this "tacit support" included the spreading around of the ever present and available "mighty US dollars" to "sympathetically western" people focused on achieving a few dollars with which to buy a little food. By such mundane acts are the CIA and the USA’s monopoly interests served…particularly when "God is not only on-side" but probably gets his orders from the Washington’s Oval Office in the White House…according to the gospel of "Dubya and friends."
Northstar Compass exposed the Schevernadze-Baker sales of Tengiz oil fields to Chevron-Standard of California, in our very first edition of NSC (August 1992) in the new, uncertain journal of friendship, solidarity and peace with our Soviet friends. We have not wavered our eleven years of struggle to assist in whatever possible those friends to whom we and all our fellow citizens, everywhere in the world owe an un-repayable debt for their brave, uncompromising sacrifices that saved the world from tyranny and ghastly oppression of German Nazi monopoly, who sponsored the psychotic Hitler and his acolytes.
We reach our hands to our Soviet friends in the national state of Georgia and pledge to defeat all efforts of the "westernized" allies of US oil monopoly…whoever they may be. These cannot other but bring them greater suffering and corruption than even the arch-counter-revolutionary Schevernadze saddled upon them. We urge all whose eyes have followed this editorial comment to do likewise. We live in an inter-dependent world of indivisible needs. Finally, we send our deepest wishes for a future of Socialism for all of our Soviet friends… in Georgia and everywhere.
