The All India Anti-Imperialist Forum sends its fraternal greetings to Northstar Compass on the 13^th Anniversary. Imperialism is unleashing its ferocious attack on different countries, but people’s resistance to imperialism is also gaining strength in different countries and massive demonstrations are organized all over the world. The need of the hour is to co-ordinate the anti-imperialist movement in different countries, so that a massive militant peace movement conducive to emancipation of the people is unleashed.

Northstar Compass is playing an important role through dissemination of the news of the revolutionary movements in different countries, providing a Forum for interaction and exchange of views to the progressive forces in different countries, and, presenting critical analyses on different events and issues that are before the revolutionary movements.

We express our solidarity with the efforts of Northstar Compass and hope that it will continue to expose the machinations of the reactionary forces of globalization-liberalization and privatization - and help to build up world public opinion against hegemonism of the imperialist powers led by the United States of America.

Regarding the Second World Congress

We welcome your decision to hold the 2^nd World Congress in Canada. We would have been happy if it could have been held in Russia. But we do appreciate that under the present circumstances, this is not possible, and thus we endorse your decision to have it in Canada. Though we have financial problems, we will and might be able to participate in this important event.

This World Congress can play an important role in bringing together the different revolutionary groups in Russia and ex USSR, who have allegiance to Marxism-Leninism, that accept Stalin as an authority and who view the present regime as a capitalist one that had usurped power after the counter-revolution. The correct revolutionary line would emerge through ideological struggles in the course of a united battle against the present regime, which is building and defending capitalism.

We support your efforts to promote the Soviet Society for Friendship with Foreign Countries. If the present contacts and comrades that undertook to organize this Society are not having success, there are other comrades in ex-USSR that you might approach, will have our support.

This Second World Congress may have to discuss as to how all of the present international revolutionaries, communists, workers’ parties and progressive forces can help the revolutionary forces in Russia to build up a united movement in order to defeat revisionism and the forces of counter-revolution and re-establish Socialism.

This Congress must take the lead in exposing the overt and covert links and cooperation between the Putin Government and the imperialists. This has become all the more important in the context of the developments in the aftermath of the tragedy that happened in Belsan, Russia.

We should also find methods of effectively coordinating the struggle against imperialism that is going on in different countries of the world. Only through this coordinated method can we decisively defeat imperialism and bring about the emancipation of the masses from exploitation and tyranny.

Dear Editor and Chairman:

During the XX Century, twice the Soviet Communists were called upon to take heroic action. Fist time it was in 1917, to liberate the people from oppression and tyranny. The second time was in 1941, to save the whole of mankind from the scourge of fascism. Soviet Communists did this with honour and dedication, in order that future generations would never forget that this was the most historic upsurge of the XX Century.

We know and we appreciate your principal position regarding the Soviet Union and the international stature of the Soviet people. You are one of not too many, that sincerely feel the tragedy of the temporary demise of the Soviet Union, as a state – as a guarantor of peace, stability and progress for all the people in the world. Because of the demise of the USSR, you just have to look no further then Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Syria, among others, under the threat of occupation, war and economic blockade. When USSR was in existing, USA did not dare do what it is doing now! They were held in check!

The establishment that you gave to the formation of the International Council for Friendship and Solidarity with Soviet People, we look upon this as an international humanitarian front of struggle for the resurrection of a sovereign USSR, and to give to the Soviet people the right of all laws that they had and that are guaranteed by all the covenants as established by the United Nations, and to respect the vote of the Soviet people which they gave on March 17, 1991 during a referendum, that the Soviet Union must exist.

Without your voice through your publication and your actions, it would be much harder for us to fight against imposed upon us the Zionist-pseudo-democratic occupation of the USSR. The right of an occupied people to struggle is stated in the Charter of the UN and other international agreements. The United Nations should uphold the right of Soviet people to liberate themselves, from this occupation. UN should support our right as Soviet citizens to struggle and fight this US inspired "Globalization" which is being prepared for all of humanity.

Please understand, that there exists no human rights, no objective courts, no democracy, not in Russia or in other former Soviet republics – it is non existent! There is in Russia a prison-political dictatorship and totalitarianism by Putin in Russia, Kuchma in Ukraine, Nazarbaev in Kazakhstan, Karimov in Uzbekistan and other cliques, being supported by force of arms by the OMON security echelons and Gestapo-type security detachments.

We bow before you and the Editorial Board of NSC, before all members of the International Council for Friendship and Solidarity with Soviet People – the first people to build Socialism! We support the convening of the Second World Congress in September of 2005 in Toronto, Canada. We have formed the "Peoples Front in Defense of Russia", which we feel, shall become a real factor in the International Council. Many thanks for the publication of Northstar Compass.

Northstar Compass is so tense in news and in facts. Must the world come to near destruction by Imperialism and from Bush, before common sense prevails? It’s so painful to see and read about Mothers, who gave birth to the world’s human race – just to see millions strewn lifeless bodies all over - because of the cruel and greedy grasping for possession of others resources and wealth? Bush is the one who is possessed with wild evil to become self-proclaimed God of the World. It’s so heartbreaking!

But, keep up the struggle my good friends and keep in good health!

From far way Philippines, from the International League of People’s Struggle – Philippines Chapter, our warmest and militant greetings to the publishers, editors, writers, staff and friends of Northstar Compass on the 13^th Anniversary of the publication.

We are indeed grateful to the leaders of NSC for regularly mailing us in the Philippines the magazine. We, therefore take this opportunity to inform all of you that these reading materials have been very helpful in informing us about the current situation in the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).

We are also gratified that Northstar Compass has a website which provides us here additional information about the working class and the peasants in this vast, sprawling region. Majority of the mass media worldwide and the Internet peddle the lie that socialism is dead and that capitalism is the last system that in now thriving in this world.

This is far from the truth!

Through your NSC news coverage and publication of these aforementioned articles, we learn that:

(1)The former USSR, which used to provide the basic resources and all of the social services for its people, is now dominated by US imperialism that is occupying its vast natural and human resources. The international usurers – IMF and World Bank – by imposing stringent impositions of the economic policies of these so-called "independent" territories, have sucked in the territories’ domestic capital that otherwise should have gone towards higher wages for the workers, higher prices for the farm products of the peasants, and social services for the citizens.

(2) There are many wars occurring in the several territories of the former USSR, instigated by US imperialism that reaps in super profits from the sale of weapons and other arms. These wars transformed the once peaceful and tranquil area into raging battle grounds between the ruling class benefiting from the domination, exploitation and plunder of US imperialism and the workers, peasants and other sectors who are struggling and resisting the local elite and US imperialism, and who are desirous of restoring socialism in their land.

(3) The struggle of the people in former USSR against the ruling elite and US imperialism and for the restoration of socialism and peace, continues and is gaining ground amongst the people that have become disenchanted and frustrated with the current monopoly capitalist system, but nevertheless contain the seed of restoration of socialism.

Once again, we heartily congratulate you on the anniversary of the publication of Northstar Compass.

We look forward to many more years of your coverage of significant news about the people of the former USSR, especially about their struggles for reforms and basic services, and hopefully, in the near future, the struggle for the restoration of socialism.
