The Final Election Farce in Ukraine
By VLADIMIR PRONIN
The serious economic, budgetary problems were mixed into the presidential election of Ukraine, and this marathon election is finally over, with the victory of Victor Yushchenko over the now ex-Premier-Minister Victor Yanukovich. Why was this victory foreseen? Because he was promoted and put into this post by the financial and political circles of US and NATO – these top dogs of the imperialist gang who call themselves the rulers of the world.
Could there have been different results in this election – this question was truthfully analyzed by President Lukashenko of Byelorussia, when he said that "Byelorussia is not a banana republic and, no "orange revolution" can take place there. Even though this remark might make some of the present Ukrainian government people hot under the color, but it is the truth. These words of President Lukashenko concern all of the post-Soviet republics. It is the only post-Soviet republic that still carries on an independent policy and thus enrages hatred from the imperialist camp, as well as from those whose interests are opposed to Lukashenko and the supporters of the New World Order.
The people of Ukraine have resolved themselves to their fate, and the most informed and astute voters have understood even after the first round of the election, that all of the left forces, including the communists have suffered a defeat, and thus they did not await any better results after the third round.
The people heaved a sigh of relief that finally they got rid of Leonid Kuchma, who for ten years brought the country into chaos, where Ukraine lost population from 52 million to 47 million! Kuchma managed to be hated and despised by all classes, from the oligarchs to his cronies, who were never sure of their jobs. It is no secret now that with the help of millionaire clans, including Pinchuk, Kuchma was assured clemency from prosecution and retirement with his millions, and therefore he sold out his former Minister Yanukovich.
The results of this election could have a very unforeseen future for Ukraine and its people and, for the rebirth of socialism. There was a split in the two left forces existing in the Ukraine and a split of Ukraine into two parts and into two separate languages.
The problem started when the counterrevolution took place and there was no effort made to give birth to one united Communist Party During this election, the Socialists took the side of Yushchenko and this is due to the traitorous policy of the head of the Socialist Party, Alexander Moroz. Now, they are fighting for government posts in the Yushchenko government.
The Communists in this election practically lost everything except their honour. They were trounced in the firs round (Here we are talking about the Communist Party of Ukraine only- Editor) and their policy was that both candidates were not worth supporting.
Even Zyuganov of the CPRF over the Russian TV urged them to support the pro-Russian Yanukovich.
The split in votes was that the Western part of Ukraine, including Kiev, voted Yushchenko, while the Eastern part and the southern part, plus the Predniester industrial region voted for Yanukovich.
Now everyone is awaiting the first move of Yushchenko, waiting for the fulfillment of his promises, which were so many, that never were there so many made in Ukraine’s history. The economy is in a terrible shape.
US and NATO do not expect any results in the economy, their policy is to destabilize Ukraine and they are pushing for confrontation between Ukraine and Russia and other former Soviet Republics. The aim being is, to divide Russia into small pieces and thus rule. Everyone is convinced that Ukraine’s policy will take a pro-American stance in all aspects of cooperation and plans for the US New World Order.
In conclusion we can say without any hesitation, that the people of Ukraine cannot expect anything good from Yushchenko being at the helm of government – it will be an anti-peoples regime!
The results here are such that it is a fact that the people of Ukraine cannot expect anything good or positive from this victory of Yushchenko. It will be even worse, than it was under president Kuchma –this is an anti-people’s regime. The serious danger now is that Yushchenko himself has a reputation of being not a very reputable politician, and, he will just act now as a "Czar" – but someone else will rule. It will be a tragedy if this "other ruler" will be none other than the American Ambassador in Kiev! This is a well known fact, that in any banana republic, this is always the case.
So, the victory of Yushchenko is a fact. But for us Communists, this is not the main factor. What is more important is the fact that the Ukrainian Communists, in the last two elections suffered a crushing defeat. It is with the same scenario and with the same results that the Russian Communists suffered defeat, and the crisis is getting deeper and more devastating.
The much needed analyses of this crisis is the most important task – to solve in the immediate future!
