Latvian Waffen SS Veterans March!

By YURI GURAKLNIK – NOVOSTI

RIGA - Veterans of Latvian Waffen SS, together with Latvian ultra-nationalists have been given permission to parade through the center of the streets of Riga and in other cities of Latvia. Meanwhile the Russian people of Latvia and their organization "Rodina", who have repeatedly asked for permission to protest this "glorification of fascism", were denied permission by the present Latvian regime.

Marches of these fascist SS veterans have been allowed to march regularly since the early 1990s. These Latvian Waffen SS veterans keep in touch with their counterparts who ran away after World War Two from justice, and are now residing in large numbers in USA, Australia and Britain.

During the Nuremberg Trials after World War Two, Waffen SS was declared as a criminal organization, as were also all units that were incorporated into it. The Waffen SS formations were manned strictly by volunteers, -- not conscripts - from all the countries that the Nazi Germany occupied. In 1944, according to the Nuremberg Trials documents, out of 37 SS Divisions, only 12 were German-only. Other divisions were composed of volunteers from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Denmark, The Netherlands, Ukraine and even Sweden.

Latvians, according to German Nazi Aryan standards of purity were considered not pure. Himmler, did not mind them serving, since he said that they will make good allies in fighting the Red Army. There were over 150,000 Latvians fighting against the Red Army and on the side of German fascism. They were used as counterintelligence soldiers and used as saboteurs, and in the counter-guerilla warfare against Latvian civilians, plus assassinations of leading Red Commissars and Soviet Officers. They fought on the territory of Russia and Byelorussia. Germany wanted the Latvians to be the largest Baltic formation. They were even worse in dealing with their own people who fought the Germans than the German SS itself!

Kyrgyzstan President Is Overthrown

The President fled the "Tulip Revolution"! The upheaval in this former Soviet republic had all the elements that were orchestrated outside the country and followed the pattern of Yugoslavia, Georgia and Ukraine. Last month the President Akayev and his regime fled.

The turmoil culminated in looting of shops and other enterprises. An unruly crowd surrounded a team of reporters and cameramen from the Moscow Russian TV channel and they were attacked. Their cars were broken into and mobile phones were stolen. There were many injuries with the crowds going crazy and there were agitators egging them on to more attacks and looting.

It’s interesting that the power of Western agencies in organizing these overthrows – with even colour coding these counter-revolutions as "orange, blue, yellow" – and no stand being taken by the present Russian regime! Don’t Putin and company know that they are next on the list? Or, are they a part of this whole scheme of dismembering even Russia into 7-9 colonies, all serving Uncle Sam in their quest for the New World Order?

We wonder what colour code will be given to this dismemberment of Russia! Maybe "slimy green"!

U.S. Using Anti-Terror War To Gain Oil Reserves

MOSNEWS-MOSCOW 3/21/05

"The US has usurped the right to attack any part of the globe on the pretext of fighting terrorism. With military bases in Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrghystan, the US has already established control over the Caspian region – one of the world’s largest oil reserves", was said by Leonid Shebarshin, ex Chief of Soviet Foreign Intelligence Service who now head the Russian National Economic Security – in an interview to the "Vremya Novosti" newspaper.

"Al-Qaeda is not a group of terrorists, but a notion. The fight against that almighty ubiquitous myth, deliberately linked to Islam is of great advantage to America, as it targets the oil-rich Muslim regions" –Shebarshin emphasized.

Kaliningrad Faces Blockade by European Union

Kaliningrad is a territory that was part of the USSR until the break-up of the Soviet Union, and it was the only outlet to the North Sea. But, since the destruction of the Soviet Union, the Baltic countries as separate capitalist and reactionary regimes like Lithuania now, are blocking this territory and not allowing thousands of Russian citizens to cross this so-called "border" without paying duty and other costs.

Children from Kaliningrad orphanages will have trouble going to Moscow since the European Union has agreed to visa and documentation procedures and expenditures, plus applications. The procedures instituted by Lithuanian authorities and supported by the European Union will make it very expensive to have the Russian people travel this short distance to visit their families or to take part in the life in the Russian Federation.

COMMENT:

Isn’t this "democratic nationalism" great in Lithuania and in other former Baltic republics? The question is – what is Mr. Putin doing about this?

They decided for greater integration with China, as opposed to with Russia. In turn, Aliyev agreed with the Chinese anti-secession laws regarding Taiwan and he gave China the go-ahead signal for China buying heavily into the oil industry in Azerbaijan.

"A successful US offensive against Iran will make the United States the regulator of all industrial development of the Asian-Pacific region."

Let’s Put an End to the Barbaric Aggression in Iraq

BY VLADINIR PRONIN

On March 19th, there took place World Wide Peace Protests against the continuing aggression against Iraq, this being the second anniversary of American and British imperialism when they started the bombardment.

Here in Ukraine, such actions were held in the main cities and was organized by the All Ukrainian Anti-War Committee. Such action took place also in Kiev, on the main central avenue of Kiev.

Taking part was the Communist Party of Ukraine, Ukrainian organization "For USSR", Union of Workers, Union of Soviet Officers, Union of Working Women "For the future of children in Ukraine", Slavic Committee of Ukraine and some others.

Signs were carried by protestors, such as: "No War In Iraq!", "Stop the aggression against Iraq!". Ukrainian land it NATO’s Firing Range?", "Dismember NATO!", "Bring back our children from Iraq!" and many other slogans.

Many speakers spoke very effectively against this American aggression, demanding that Ukraine get its troops out of Iraq and demanding also the rebirth of the USSR, which guaranteed peace and freedom for countries. All agreed that Ukraine must not be drawn into NATO. Everyone spoke that people will not allow Ukraine to be a vassal country of US imperialism.

Many speakers touched on the criminality and aggression of Zionism and support for the Palestinian people. The meeting also condemned the aggression and dismemberment of Yugoslavia. Crowds also chanted in unison "Down with NATO!" and "Yankee, go home!"

At the conclusion of the meeting a Resolution was adopted unanimously, called "We shall defend this Planet from wars!" This resolution condemned Bush and Blair for the deaths of thousands of Iraqis and also of the aggressor troops, besides the Ukrainian casualties. There was also a demand that the United Nations to condemn this aggression and help to resurrect the devastation in Iraq.

The meeting demanded that President Yushchenko immediately fulfill the wishes of the Ukrainian people and withdraw the Ukrainian contingent from Iraq! The people agreed that they shall not allow Ukraine to be used as a pawn for Imperialism!

Of course the Ukrainian capitalist mass media and television could not find even a minute to report on these mass actions in Ukraine or over the whole world.

People again were shown that this regime and its mass media is not objective or is it a "democratic press."
