Bulgarians Hired As Moving Decoys by US Army Exercise in Bulgaria

For a couple of weeks the US military exercise called "Immediate Reply 2005" was holding this military training exercise near the village of Novo Selo in Eastern Bulgaria.

We were informed that these 500 US combat troops had been fighting in Iraq, and using the US tanks called "Bradley" which are the ones that are used in Iraq.

The local press reported also that local Bulgarians were used in this military exercise. For a daily fee of about $20, these locals were reported as "contributing to the creation of conditions close to the realities of an actual battle. These locals are used as running bail and decoys for the US army soldiers." Of course there were casualties.

How kind it is for the only super power to assign such a role to Bulgaria, which is an ally of US imperialism. How dignified it is for the present regime of Bulgaria to willingly accept such an assignment!?

This comment is necessary, since the majority of these Bulgarian citizens, who are destitute, no work to be had, are Gypsies – this may well explain this US and Bulgarian tactic of expedience in using exactly them as civilian target simulations during this war exercise!

On the other hand, this might just be the glorious "Decade of Roma Integration" program as announced by the multibillionaire George Soros in Sofia, Bulgaria earlier this year, who represents the Word Bank, the IMF and US imperialism.
