We would like to express our support and thanks for the highly political level of professionalism of the magazine "Northstar Compass", which in today’s circumstances consistently takes the leading position on modern political issues and which disarms dishonest and anti-people plans of the world reactionary forces. The content of the magazine helps to orient the readers in the right direction and serves as a guide to action. These are its most valuable features.

Dear friends, we regret that after thorough discussion of our capabilities we have decided not to take part in the 2^nd World Congress of the International Council for Friendship and Solidarity and we apologize for this. The editorial of the "Dialog – Questions and Answers" is a small group of volunteers. None of us has the funds, which would allow for participation in the 2^nd Word Congress.

At the same time, we whole-heartedly wish you success in your work! We are certain that the results of the Congress will no doubt contribute to such noble task as development and strengthening of the friendship with people of the former Soviet Union – the first socialist country in the world.

We believe that there is no higher honour for every man and every organization than defense of righteous mandate of the Great October Socialist Revolution, which for the first time in the history of humanity broke the chains of exploitation of one human by another and which has opened the ways of creating a happy life for working people. This is a great task, inspired by the genius of Lenin, developed by Stalin in the merciless struggle with external and internal enemies in the midst of capitalist environment and who became support and hope of the progressive people in the world. Stalin who today is insulted and poured lies over by our enemies managed to defend principles of Leninism -- the true compass for the building of new, socialist society and the weapon of the decisive struggle with all opportunists and revisionists. Stalin’s achievement lies in the fact that during a critically short time in history the Soviet Union moved from wooden hoe and peasant straw shows to spaceships. Stalin can take the biggest portion of credit for defeat of fascism and for saving human civilization. His achievements are irreversible. They must triumph.

Dear friends, we do not doubt that the upcoming World Congress will confirm these facts and will present more proofs of historic importance of the Soviet Union, will provide evidence that only because of the treason of the internal enemies, for dirty dollars and marks, the evil forces managed to temporarily crush the just way of life in the Soviet Union and some socialist countries.

We believe that the Congress will warn about serious danger, which threatens progressive humanity coming from the USA, just the way "Northstar Compass" magazine warned about it. This shows how timely is the thesis of Marxist-Leninist teaching that Bourgeoisie, which is not able to maintain power by democratic methods, switches directly to fascism. One can observe such tendencies in politics throughout times. It is a wide known fact that American administration helped many fascist leaders of the former German Reich by guiding them into the refuge in Latin America and has done this with the help of the Catholic Church. In our republic shortly after the war Americans unceremoniously robbed the archives of Gestapo assistants, which we re hidden in old mines near city Shtekhovitze. Instead of passing the lists of Gestapo assistants to the countries where these people were from so they could be punished, the US used the lists for their own purposes. For millions of dollars well-known political scientists developed for the USA "The Doctrine of Struggle Against World Communism" and used it to crush the socialist countries. Today the USA considers itself the main fighter against terrorism. This is a cunning policy. During the first years of building socialism we experienced first- hand "help" of terrorists who were trained and armed by American intelligence, crossed the boarder illegally with the purpose of creating damage, setting factories and agricultural cooperative constructions on fire, killing communists, representatives of the government and social activists. Up until now the USA protects killers of the Mashinov, who account for numerous murder victims. The USA provides refuge to many Cuban traitors in Florida and pays them generously.

These are just some of the facts. We could provide many more, as Northstar Compass does, to demonstrate that the main source of and the reason for terrorism is the very essence of capitalism itself, which brings around hatred, quarrels, wars and suffering of innocent people.

Dear friends, please accept this letter as our presentation at the 2^nd World Congress. We hope you will forgive us for not joining you in person, for which we thank you very much.

Once again, we wish the Congress successful work. Especially we wish the newly elected International Council to successfully continue the great work on strengthening friendship and solidarity with the Soviet people and by this, help the struggle of progressive forces for peace in the world. We are confident that "Northstar Compass" will shine even brighter and lead the way for humanity into the happy future. We will continue committing our mind, energy and heart to this cause!
