Ukraine: Orange Sunset

By JEFF BOSSUYT

TAMILA YABROVA, Chairperson of the Union of Ukrainian Communists- speaking about the results of the last elections in Ukraine.

Q: President Yukashenko, who was such a "hero of the Orange Revolution" just last year, suffers a crushing defeat. Why?

A: The people’s life has become worse day by day, the economy is collapsing, all production figures are going down. His support of NATO also played an important part.

Q: Why did the people vote for the opposition candidate Yanukovich?

A: They hoped that he will manage to improve the economy again, that the industrial regions will move forward, that the country will experience stable development, among other things, and keeping good connections with Russia.

Q: Why did the ex-Prime Minister Timoshenko receive more votes than the President?

A: She so-called "criticized" the President’s economic policy. She was presented as the opposition leader, but thus was nothing but a fake "struggle". This was a smart Western tactic, especially of the EU, to fight this struggle on two fronts; they knew that Yushchenko alone would have just lost.

Q: For whom did the working class vote?

A: They were divided. Some voted for Natalia Vitrenko, spokesperson for the Ukrainian middle class, who has campaigned very bravely against NATO. Others voted "against all", because in reality all the parties support capitalism. The Communist Party just about managed to get into Parliament, but it is in urgent need of restructuring and of very serious self-analysis of its own tactics.

ELECTION RESULTS:

Azerbaijan’s Uncertain Stand Regarding Iran

From Regnum – Russia

Hikmet Gajizade, member of the Azerbaijan’s Musavat Party stated that: " We have been a member of the anti-Iranian coalition, although unofficially. Shall we endure pressure from US imperialism or not is a very difficult question? Another thing is, if we try to consider the issue from another angle: whether we should agree with the terms that Americans propose to us or not?

He continued to state: "Can we remain neutral under this pressure? I think that it is possible at the present time. By the way, how can Iran treat Azerbaijan as a neutral country and a neighbouring state, if our airports receive five NATO planes landing each day?"

"In other words, Azerbaijan has been long, although unofficially, a member of the anti-Iranian coalition. We should demand to know all the details of the plans of the US government and determine the possible damage to Azerbaijan."

Transdniester Region Gets $10.2 Million Help

TIRASPOL: The first financial help to this Russian-speaking region that was part of Moldavia before it broke away because the present regime in Moldova wants to join Romania.

Due to the armed conflict in March of 1992, the present regime of Ukraine has imposed trade sanctions against the Transdniester Republic. These sanctions by Ukraine mean that all goods being produced in the Transdniester Republic must have an official Moldova stamp on it.

These regulations were signed by the authorities of Ukraine and Moldova last year.

The Russian-speaking population of the Transdniester Republic wants to join Russia in order to save themselves from forced assimilation and the prospect of being annexed by Romania. The bloodshed ended in 1992 after the agreement and when Russian peacekeepers arrived.

Former Breadbasket of Europe Now Exports Prostitutes!

Ukraine is now the leading country exporting prostitutes all over the world, due to these girls and women forced to feed their families back home, due to this "democratic-orange revolution country."

Another pillar of "democracy" in Europe, Germany, has now officially established, trained and paid for, Ukrainian speaking tour guides and supplied them with transport, to guide these women into Germany’s official bordellos!

With the forthcoming world championship Soccer Tournament, Ministry of Tourism expects 500,000 prostitutes coming to Berlin – most of them from Ukraine.

Now Ukraine maybe is importing wheat, but in return it’s exporting prostitutes!

Monument to Stalin Erected Above the Arctic Circle

This monument was erected in the village of Kureika, located above the Arctic Circle in Krasnoyarsk Krai. The news media notes that this is in spite of the present government of Russia which is trying to bury under this movement, it had to admit that the people, including more and more young people "have been showing an ever greater interest in Stalin." Stalin was sentenced to a long-term exile by the Tsar regime to Kureika.

A Soviet Dissident Who At Last Saw the Truth

This veteran rabid anti-Sovieteer, who just died at the age of 83, after living inn exile in Germany for 20 years, upon his return back to Russia, he gave an interview in which he said the following:

"The fall of Communism has been transformed into the fall of the USSR and Russia in particular. This catastrophe was deliberately planned in the West. I say this, because I was once heavily involved in these plans which, under the pretext of fighting a communist ideology, in fact prepared the death of the USSR.

Contrary to a widely held view, Socialism did not collapse solely because of internal reasons. Its collapse is the greatest possible victory for Imperialist West. This colossal victory has created in the world a US Planetary Power. The end of Socialism is also the end of democracy: our era is not only post-communist, it is post-democratic.

Now we live in a world dominated by a single force, by a single reactionary ideology and by a single party of the New World Order! Although the West is dominant at the moment, they are also dominated by this supranational imperialist structure. This present New World Order is trying to crush pluralism and democracy in the world. They are having success but, also the storm is brewing against this New World Order!"

Russia Needs A Strong Army!

Russian Information Agency

MOSCOW: The Russian Chief of General Staff, General Yury Baluyevsky stated that Russia needs a strong army capable of meeting current challenges, or it could end up paying a high price for neglecting its security.

"Global developments require Russia to maintain high levels of technical backup to ensure the combat readiness of its Armed Forces", the General told World War II veterans on the eve of the Great Patriotic War Victory Day!

"Loud campaigns that are launched by some of our own Russian research institutions are disorientating our society. Neglect of our country’s security was paid for at an enormously high price."

COMMENT:

Although late, this statement is about time, the General should have remembered what Lenin and Stalin said: the need to be ready to repel the enemy – both inside and outside!

Russian Legislative Resistance to Putin

The speakers of both chambers of the Russian Parliament will not support the proposal to amend the Constitution in order to allow a Third Term for President Putin.

The Russian State Duma speaker Boris Gryzlov, who heads a pro-Kremlin United Russia party, said that his party’s Duma majority would also oppose amending the Russian constitution.

Latvia Convicted A WW2 Red Partisan For Fighting Against German Fascists!

MosNews

Russia is joining as a third party in hearings being held by the European Court of Human Rights over an appeal filed by a Soviet veteran of the Great Patriotic War.

Vassily Kononov, a Soviet World War II partisan was convicted by the Latvian authorities of war crimes for ordering the killing of several Latvian Nazi collaborators in 1944 when Latvia was occupied by German troops. He had already served years in prison and trial.

Russia’s envoy to the European Court of Human Rights, Pavel Laptev sent a memorandum to the effect, saying that Russia was joining the Kononov versus Latvia case as a third party. This Russian envoy urged the court to examine the case again without delay considering Kononov’s age. He was born in 1923.

COMMENT:

It’s really hard to believe that the present Russian regime is taking this stance, instead of using the UN Security Council to censure the present Nationalistic regime of Latvia which defends the Nazis for their crimes. Does not the present Putin regime know how many thousands of Soviet Red Army soldiers were killed liberating Latvia? How many of the Red Army men were shot in the back while liberating Latvia by those Nazi loving Latvian fascists?

History will not only judge these preset Latvian Nazi lover leaders, but, it will also judge harshly these present Russian leaders who allow this injustice to take place, without taking steps to stop this present fascism in Latvia to take its course!
