Did Bush Win the 2004 Election?

Like many Americans I spent the evening of the 2004 US presidential election watching the returns on TV, which predicted an overwhelming victory for the Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry. But by the end of the evening it showed that President Bush got an overwhelming lead. Anyone who questioned the falsification of the results was branded as a nut case, unpatriotic and other names by all of the big US daily press, TV and radio.

Despite all of this, indications started to emerge that something was terribly wrong. There was rigging of votes, unworkable voting machines, falsified electoral lists, lock-out of people wanting to cast their ballots – that nearly 6,000,000 US voters were not allowed to vote or disqualified for unknown reasons.

In the Ohio voting that supposedly clinched Bush’s victory, officials purged tens of thousands of eligible voters and thus derailed the victory of John Kerry. This was also very evident in most US states and especially in the state of Florida where thousands upon thousands of Black Americans were denied a vote.
