Ukraine’s Defense Minister Admits That US Warship Brought Arms to Crimea

KIEV, MAY 29, 2006 – Ukraine’s defence minister said that the US warship "Advantage" brought weapons to the southern Crimean region, after at first he denied this charge. The arrival of the US warship caused mass protests among the residents of the port of Feodosiya on the Black Sea, and then the local legislators decided to declare the city as a NATO free zone.

The Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine demanded in a resolution to the Ukrainian government, to immediately start the process to impeach President Yushchenko as the Ukraine Constitution allows, according to #111 section of the Constitution, because he caused grave harm by compromising the Ukrainian territorial integrity. The population of Ukraine and the world must know about this treachery and conniving policy of the present Ukrainian regime.

RCP Sets Up Armed Self-Defence Units

MOSCOW –RIA NOVOSTI –

Russia’s Communist Party has set up self-defence units in several cities in order to protect itself from attacks, a member of the lower house of parliament stated last month.

At a news conference, Valery Rashkin cited instances of many assaults on members of the Communist Party members, plus excessive use of force on the part of the Russian law enforcement officers, attacks and acts of arson against party headquarters in various Russian cities.

These units so far have been established in Moscow, Saratov and Samara in the Volga River area, and several other cities across the country.

These units are composed of about 30-40 adults who take part in all of the rallies, marches and other events.

He highlighted several criminal investigations into the deaths of their Communist Party members that were launched after numerous complaints and petitions from party members – but these still have yet to produce results.

"We are concerned that the present regime’s police officers are gathering information on Communist Party activists and representatives of the left-wing youth organizations, even that the Interior Ministry of Russia has branded such measures as unconstitutional", Rashkin said.

If God Listens to Bush, Then He Will Listen To Me …

KIEV-Reuters – A man was shouting that God will save him since he talked to him, was mauled to death by a Lioness, at the Kiev Zoo, after he crept into the enclosure.

He shouted that, "God will save me if he exists", lowered himself by a rope into the enclosure, took his shoes off and went up to the lioness, which jumped at him, knocked him down and severed his carotid artery.

RUSSIANS IN TALLINN MARCH IN PROTEST

Last month over 1,000 members of the Russian minority living in Tallinn, Estonia, marched in protest and in defence of the Soviet Monument to the Warrior-Liberator, which the present nationalist Estonian government has threatened to demolish. Very recently, this monument was desecrated by neo-nazi punks, who are now allowed to march with their nazi symbols.

Since this desecration of the monument, Russian people living in Tallinn have set up a 24-hour guard around the monument.

Activist for Union of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus Shot

Yuri Khadartsev, a leading activist in the movement for Russia, Ukraine and Byelorussia to join together in a union, was shot twice in the head on June 8 in the Solomesky district of Kiev. He was responsible for the growing movement for this brotherly union.

The day before the murder, this growing organization of people held a rally of protest against the "US military incursion" of an American warship into Crimea and also, Yuri Khadartsev was responsible for organizing against NATO military exercises in Crimea.

Russian Arms Arrive In Venezuela

In the first batch out of a total 100,000 Kalashnikov rifles which President Hugo Chavez ordered. Venezuela’s military is undergoing a long overdue transformation, with a major recruitment drive and new technology.

Although US administration is criticizing this purchase because it has ordered a complete ban on arms purchases by Venezuela, but n Chavez has repeatedly warned that the Bus administration was planning to invade Venezuela in order to get its hands on the country’s rich oil resources.

Russia Won’t Subsidize Political Transformation in Ukraine

President Putin at a meeting with heads of leading news agencies from the G-8 countries in June said: "Our Western friends very actively supported the Orange Revolution in Ukraine, and we see what has been happening there. If you want to support everything that is happening there, you have to pay for it. Why should we do that?" Russia has been supplying energy resources to the West promptly for forty years!

"As to the fact that Ukraine has siphoned off significant amounts of European resources, questions on this account should be put to Ukraine now."

Regarding the increase in energy prices for Ukraine, Putin said that Russia has been subsidizing Ukraine to the amount of $3.5 billion annually over the past 15 years. " Each year we raised the question to Ukraine of switching to the European method of pricing."

"Why should German consumers pay for our gas $250 per cubic meter while Ukraine pays only $50 per cubic meter"? But if the West wants to present such a gift to Ukraine – pay for it!"

"Why do you want us to make such a gift? Suppose you take those $3.5 billions out of the pockets of the German taxpayers and explain to them why this is appropriate – we will not have anything against that at all – just pay the money" Putin concluded.

Very good public relations statement by Putin – but – Mr. Putn is also responsible for the present affairs in Ukraine and not taking a stand against Western interference there. It’s much too late to cry "thief" after the horses were stolen from the stable!

FROM THE AMERICAN FOREIGN POLICY COUNCIL – Washington

The British Daily Telegram quoted reliable sources in Washington, which reported that the US Defence officials have requested and got the go-ahead from Russia to supply the US sponsored and directed Afghan Army with a "prodigious amount" of ammunition, in case a Democrat wins the next US presidential election. The Pentagon chiefs have asked for 100,000 rocket-propelled grenades, 78,000,000 rounds of AK-47 ammunition and 12,000 tank shells to arm the present US sponsored President Hamid Karzai’s government before the 2008 USA presidential elections.

To sweeten this deal, Washington is offering Moscow an estimated $400 million deal as an inducement to stop the arms and nuclear technology exports to Iran.

In a terse news dispatch that was published in New York Times newspaper in June of this year, the paper reported this unusual item.

Besides all of the above, Henry Kissinger, the arch-architect of anti-Sovietism and the US Imperialism’s top man behind the scenes of the dismemberment of the USSR, a personal bosom friend of Alexander Yakovlev, former Ambassador to Canada, the architect and advisor to Gorbachev, went on a "Special Mission" to visit President Putin at his personal residence at Novo Ogaryovo in the Moscow suburbs!

The Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) intends to cover the whole country with its influence, according to Gennady Zyuganov, its leader, who stated this to the press before the Seventh Plenary Session of the CPRF. Zyuganov said that: "Today the CPRF is the only well-organized party offering a different political policy."

Zyuganov also said that "The 15 million people who cast their votes in the "Peoples Referendum" organized by the CPRF in late 2005 in all of the Russian regions, were ready to fully cooperate with the CPRF."

The CPRF is planning to hold nationwide rallies to support freedom of the press and, in Moscow on June 21^st, there were 10,000 people gathered at the Ostankino TV Tower Centre. This huge Moscow rally was sanctioned by Putin’s government.
