Russia Warns US Over Missile System
In a news dispatch last October 17th Russia criticized US on its proposed deployment in Europe of US missile defence system near its borders. US is planning to install these systems and radars in Bulgaria, Hungary, Turkey, Poland and the Czech Republic.
The Russian Defence Ministry said that "the deployment of missile defence near the borders of Russia poses a real THREAT TO OUR DETERRENT FORCES".
Well, well then why did Russia vote with US and its allies in the UN to condemn North Korea when it is trying to protect itself from the same threat and danger to its sovereignty as Russia is protesting now?
Remember All of Those "Colour Revolutions" in Former Soviet Republics?
Those "revolutions" in former Soviet Republics and in Eastern Europe were meant, not to spread "democracy" at all, they were meant to extend the reach of American imperialism and its military power via NATO and more directly.
The American goal is to encircle former Soviet Union, keeping their present capitalist systems in check and extending the far frontiers of the rising American New World Order Empire deep into Central Asia.
It certainly is not about bringing "democracy, or even free markets" its all about US Imperialism. Pure and simple.
History will judge harshly the present leadership of China and Russia and their covert and overt cooperation with US Imperialism!
Appeal of June 21, 2006 meeting in defense of workers of refrigerator shed "Predportovaya" [S. Petersburg]
To the President of JSC
"Russian Railroads"
V.I. Yakunin
At the present time there are some activities of the Shed Administration the sense of which is not clear to workers in the refrigerator shed "Predportovaya" where the Russian trade union "Refrigeratorschik" ("Refrigerator worker) is working. A new legal body has been created to which all the material values of the shed are transferred: buildings, constructions, movable equipment. It was openly offered to the workers to retire from the refrigerator shed and to be employed by the new firm where there are less workstations and positions than in the shed, and not enough for everybody. Furthermore, the JSC "Refservis" Mr. Averkov declared in public that the free trade union "Refrigeratorschik" members would not be employed in the new organization. Mr. Averkov is acting as if there exists an employment ban in Russia a measure applied in Germany after WWII to former Nazi party members. But any discrimination of citizens is forbidden in Russia and such actions put Mr. Averkov outside the law.
All the requests and applications of the free trade union members and shed workers are ignored. This situation has already lasted for months, the shed work is disorganized. The labour collective is alarmed. The free trade union applied to social organizations of St. Petersburg and other Russian cities with a request to help defend its members' interests and the "Predportovaya" shed workers. The campaign for solidarity with refrigerator workers is developing in the city.
We, the participants of the June 21 meeting, representatives of different social organizations appeal to you with our demands:
to provide exhaustive information on the re-organization taking place in the shed;
to put JSC "Predportovaya" in order;
to return the room of the trade union committee of the free trade union taken away from it illegally, as a violation of the court decision;
to stop discrimination against the free trade union representatives.

Bust of Marshal Zhukov to be Installed in Minsk
The Byelorussian Government issued a decree that endorsed the proposal of the Minsk City Council to erect a bust of the great military commander in Minsk close to Zhukov Avenue.
Marshal Zhukov was a war hero of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, and was decorated 4 times as a Hero of the Soviet Union.
We wonder whether there are any monuments or busts dedicated to Stalin in Minsk or in Byelorussia now? Maybe our readers in Minsk can let us know.
Appeal of former Russian and Ukrainian Political Prisoners to the participants of the Athens Social Forum
The black period' of capitalist restoration on the Soviet territory since 1991 has not resulted in any improvement for the working people, but practically only to its rapid extinction, during this new bourgeoisie which is enriching itself at the expense of the wretched conditions for the people of former Soviet Union.
Physical and moral genocide is going on in our country since in the USSR times we didn't know mass hunger, drug addiction and prostitution. New bourgeois laws and security agencies defend this extremely unjust situation, the disobedient are put into prison for years and even murdered. We know what those who are in prison are subjected to because we have been there ourselves and we managed to get out. But a lot of our comrades there still need our aid to survive, to get liberty and to continue their struggle. The number of political prisoners in the ex-USSR increases. Many of those who get liberty cannot find a job, have to live without papers and without a permanent habitation, but in spite of personal poverty we continue to render our imprisoned comrades material and moral assistance as it is significantly worse for them than for us. Their lives and health are in danger, every day they are subjected to different humiliations. To communicate with our arrested comrades we have to cover large distances, to cross state boundaries. In this respect we appeal to you with a request to go to the expense of us for more effective assistance to our imprisoned comrades which is necessary for the future socialist revolution. We must not permit the bourgeois regime prisoners' death!
Larisa Romanova (Russia) had been imprisoned for 5.5 years;
Eugeny Semenov (Ukraine) had been imprisoned for 1.5 years;
Anna Petrenko (Russia) had been imprisoned for 1.5 years;
Igor Fedorovich (Russia) had been imprisoned for 3 years;
Igor Garkavenko (Ukraine) had been imprisoned for 9 years;
Irina Derguzova (Russia) had been imprisoned for 5 years.
