NATO Warhawks Met in Latvia

BY JERRY MORSE

RIGA-LATVIA: When war hawks, vultures and songbirds get together, you have a NATO conference. These legal beagles bark up all NATO’s trees, while legalities become stretched, twisted, fractured, imputed, and withdrawn from all Constitutional and International Laws.

President Bush, in order to rebuild his personal legacy infrastructure, figures that NATO is one of a hell of a place to do work, since a legal bar kicks up more dust in the faces of NATO officials, and provided the capitalist media with more legal sawdust, which can be formed into all sort if good shapes by adding glue.

His message to NATO war-hawks was: "Afghanistan is NATO’s most important accomplishment. If we stand together in Afghanistan we will protect America, defend our freedom and decency will prevail."

And then for the benefit of all gathered there, he spread his hands and said: "An attack on one is an attack against all, and this principle holds true whether the attack is on home, soil or on our forces deployed on a mission abroad."

This cabal of war-hawks meeting in Riga, the country that forgot as to who liberated its people from fascism, now the government has embraced these fascists, and practically converted the country into the most reactionary bastion in the NATO camp.
