November 7th Is Abolished and Renamed
President Putin’s regime, following in the footsteps of what Yeltsin tried to do, have now abolished the November 7th Holiday of the Great October Socialist Revolution and instead declared November 4th as the official holiday, called the "Day of Peoples Unity."
Of course this was in order to abolish, besmirch, falsify and obstruct any semblance of the meaning and celebration of this day, not only in the former USSR, but all over the world.
Guess who was one of the main sponsors of this new legislation? OF course, it was the Russian Orthodox Church. We wonder whether Putin and his regime asked God for guidance on the renaming of the greatest event and the most feared one by Imperialism that happened to mankind.
UN Approves Russian Resolutions against Arms Race In Space
The first resolution, authored with the participation of partners in the Shanghai Cooperation Forum, the Collective Treaty Organization and other countries, is designed to curtail the use of information technologies for security threatening purposes.
The other resolution is for measures to prevent the deployment of weapons in outer space.
Both of these resolutions were backed up by an overwhelming majority in the UN. The United States voted against both of them.
Break Up of the USSR Ruined World Order and Unleashed Wars
From Interfax
MOSCOW – The so-called Belavezh Accords that declared the end to the Soviet Union, signed on December 8, 1991 by the leaders of Russian, Byelorussian and Ukraine Republics, should be viewed as "one of the largest global extremist political decisions in history with destructive consequences, which have still not ended, and no one knows how they will end" according to Effective Politics Foundation survey, headed by Gleb Pavlovsky.
"A group of politicians thrust their will over 200 million people, which dismembered the country and unleashed extremist forces. The reforms that were imposed on the people after the dismemberment of the USSR became more and more absurd and destructive" said Pavlovsky.
"This counter-revolutionary event led to a series of armed conflicts, including war in Chechnya, the violent break up of Georgia and the war in Transdniester. This also sent a signal to the Slavs’ separation from people of the non-Slavic origin, which was unprecedented for the Soviet Union, which championed and practised internationalism."
In another survey, conducted by Regnum, over 78% of those surveyed in Russia want to return back to the USSR.
Whether this survey is correct we do not know, but these figures show that only 45% in Ukraine and 36% in Belarus voted in favour of unification.
Kyrgyzstan’s Tulip Revolution Is Bad for the Country
The adoption and the financed "Tulip Revolution" by US has not created prosperity for the people, said the State Secretary for Kyrgyzstan.
Political turmoil and economic hardships are continuing to plague the country since the overthrow of the government in March of 2005, which was known as the "tulip revolution" which was backed by the US-funded NGO’s.
The new president regime of Kurmanbek Bakiyev is marred by corruption scandals and mass poverty in spite of the revenues from the gas and oil deposits that do not get any benefit for the majority of the people.
In November if 2006 thousands protested in the centre of the capital Bishkek, demanding that the president resign. There are constant demonstrations against this corruption and sell-off to foreign multinational corporations.
Lithuania is the Most Corrupt Country in the World
According to the 2006 Gallup Corruption Poll published recently, respondents from 100 nations around the globe said in unison that Lithuania is the most corrupt country in the world, while Belarus was named as the least corrupt.
Latvia is the second most corrupt nation in the world, followed by Estonia and Moldavia.
Even the UN finally had to admit the truth that progressive people knew all along.
The Only Way for the Working Class
By I. KOMAROV
From his analyses as to what happened in former USSR, called – "Globalization and Political Idiocy."
"We have to understand and always remember, that especially now, when imperialism as never before, is well organized to sabotage or smash any revolutionary movement in the world, the struggle of the working class in all countries will be only effective if and when, the international working class is able to combine their strength together into a mighty organization. Ad this means, that Communists, Leninists and Stalinists of all countries and continents must soon organize the IV Communist International. And when in most countries there will function parties of the Lenin-Stalin type, when the working class will unite and take power into their own hands and raise the banner of Stalinism high – then the history will mark the beginning of the end of this historic dead capitalism-imperialist system – but we must never underestimate its bloody deadly struggle to survive."

To Close By Law the Work of All Fascist Organizations on the Territory of Russia
On August 21, 2006, a group of Moscow fascists, composed of three men, who demolished the Cherkizovski Market (the blast had a magnitude of 1 kilogram of Trinotil). Ten people died instantly, three others died in hospital. Scores of others were seriously injured, some losing legs, arms, hands and some becoming blind. Being taken into custody at the scene, these young fascists told the police, very proudly, that they did this because their aim is to scare the non-Russian population of Moscow and to finally expel all foreigners out of Moscow and out of Russia. The present official Russian media response and statements by even some governmental officials was that they will look into this event, but they feel that it is the work of only hooligans and maybe a childish prank – instead of tackling this serious threat of fascist terror from the growing activity in Moscow, Leningrad (the city that was the cradle of the revolution has now become the main city of Russian fascism), plus Voronezh and other cities.
The refusal of the Russian authorities to call this fascism, and the men who perpetrated this as fascists and their action as terrorism, shows very clearly that the present regime will not take necessary action against this growing fascist menace, but take steps of nullify, obscure and mitigate this fascist terror.
Our Society for Friendship with Foreign Countries is stating that there now exist many fascist organizations now on the territory of Russia and other former Republics, and they are financed by foreign secret services and with a blind-eye by the present regime of Russia. Their aim is two-fold:
(1) To start interregional, inter-racial hatred, not to allow a mutual unity and the rebirth of the Soviet Union;
(2) Start racial attacks and racial ethnic conflicts in Russia, thus to break up, disperse the different nationalities there and liquidate the Russian Federation.
These aims of course are very much welcomed by imperialism and by the capitalist secret services.
We call upon all the people of our society to join together in unison and stop fascism in its tracks – as was done in 1945 when the victory of the Great Patriotic War had stopped world fascism!

Ukrainians Are Opposed to NATO
Last December 12-25, 2006 an opinion pole took place in Ukraine in association with the Social Monitoring Centre which showed that more than 58% of Ukrainians strongly opposed President Viktor Yushenko’s bid to take the nation into NATO, while less than 24% support it.
It seems that Ukraine’s integration into the European Union is more popular, with 52% in favour while 29% are against.
This issue has divided the population of Ukraine. Yushenko’s bid to push this entry has encountered strong resistance not only from the majority of Ukrainian people, but also from Prime Minister Yanukovych and the Eastern Ukrainian majority of Russian speaking citizens also.
Action against Anti-Communism
Statement by the Communist Party of Greece (KKE)
The parliamentary group of KKE sent a letter to all MP’s of the Greek parliament concerning the recent rise of anti-communist events in Europe and the atmosphere they create.
The letter was signed by Orestis Kolozof, spokesman of KKE in the Greek Parliament, notes that " in the last period we witnessed a multiplication of events that create justifiable worries for the future, since it seems that a sickly atmosphere is being promoted that may lead to a "witch-hunt".
The parliamentary group of KKE reminded about some of the anti-communist measures (e.g. the anti-communist motion presented to PACE last January; the recent anti-communist resolution of the European Parliament that condemns the Communist ideology, the case of the Czech Communist Youth and many others) as well as previous cases like the situation in the Baltic States and prohibitions that exist in other European countries.
This letter reminds all that "the historical experience teaches us that the banner of anti-communism has been used to justify the persecution of every different opinion", and "it is a duty of all of us to intervene in order to put a stop to this course that is against the democratic rights and liberties."
CSTO and EurAsEC Ready for Closer Cooperation
From Byelorussian Telegraph Agency – December 27, 2006
The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Eurasian Economic Community (RurAsEC) are seeking closer integration. This issue was high on the agenda at the meeting between the chiefs of the secretariats of the two organizations.
These two organizations have set up an Interstate Commission for military and economic cooperation which seeks to create interstate defence and industrial complexes and design new defensive weapons and materials.
The main aim of this interaction between the two organizations is to ensure security of the single economic space.
The CSTO and the EurAsEC intend to cooperate in the issues of frontier and customs policy (protection of exterior borders, counter-acting drug trafficking, organized crime and smuggling) ensuring transport systems security etc.
The CSTO secretary general stated that a document shall be presented for signatures to all heads of states in these countries this summer.
The Result of Russia’s Economic Policies
In a short news despatch over the CBC Radio of December 28, 2006, they quoted the Russian Ministry of Health statement about the male life expectancy now in Russia due to the economic hardships, cultural degradation and the unbelievable money being spent on liquor advertising by the local and foreign corporations.
The life expectancy in Russia for a male now is only 59 years.
Over $2 billion dollars are spent on promoting liqueur advertising per year
Kosovo’s Secession – Destructive Event for Europe
From Voice of Russia
Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said that if Kosovo’s independence is proclaimed it could be the most destructive event for present day Europe.
Commenting on Prime Minister’s statement, Yelena Guskova, head of the Studies of the Contemporary Balkan Crisis said: "If Kosovo is recognized by the international community as a universal case, then this will allow all other Albanians who live already for many generations in other Balkan countries, including in Montenegro, in Macedonia, in Serbian south and in Romania etc. to start raising the issue of independence and unification of all territories that live in different countries in the Balkans.
These are not mere words, but a factor that can cause serious destabilization in this volatile region.
If Kosovo does achieve its aim, as promoted by the Western powers, Europe will face many problems; one of them is that these Albanians use terrorist methods towards this end.
This will also cause political and economic problems not only in Europe but also in Asia and probably in other parts of the world."
Why Did Russia Vote To Sanction Iran?
While Russia may prefer for its own reasons that Iran should not enrich its uranium, it fully recognizes that Iran’s pursuit is legal under international law. Furthermore as Western media always emphasize, Russia and China have extensive commercial ties with Iran, hence its not in their interest to antagonize Iran.
But Russia and China supported the UNSC resolution 1737 and this doesn’t make sense at all. This helped to back Iran into the corner as US imperialism wanted to.
Washington’s Game in Turkmenistan
The death President Nyazarov’s in Turkmenistan gave Bush, that pathological liar, that homicidal maniac, who has lost two wars against helpless, unarmed nations, but now it looks like he’s bored and he is already putting together pieces to take full advantage of the situation in Turkmenistan.
Life of Political Prisoner Danilov Is In Great Danger
This appeal was sent to NSC by Ludmila Cherjomushkina of Moscow regarding one of the scores of Soviet young political prisoners who are held by the present regimes of Russia and Ukraine. He is in grave danger of dying while in custody. In a previous issue of NSC we gave the details of these young Communists fighting the present regimes now. We have also sent our protest to the authorities and we ask our readers to send messages of protest.
Igor Danilov, having no other tools of resistance in the prisons of Ukraine but a hunger strike, unwillingly led to his deterioration of his health. He weighs now only 44 kg. This is the weight of a child. He was tortured, has 7 ribs broken and a damaged lung. His family and friends fear that his next hunger strike will be his last one.
Igor is a citizen of Russia but imprisoned in Ukraine. His relatives appeal to various governments, mostly judiciary, bodies in Ukraine, about the medical and legal investigation of his situation and trying to get him transferred to a different prison. His case is being reviewed by the European Human Rights Court.

Russia Says That America Murdered Saddam
MOSCOW – Russia has accused the United States of "murdering" Saddam Hussein and being the cause of the crisis and violence in Iraq – this is the strongest-yet attack on the USA-led occupation of that country. This was the statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"The hasty and cruel execution, shamelessly broadcast to the world by its inspirers, will deepen the split in Iraqi society even further. Instead of the much-needed national reconciliation and accord, the Iraqi people are facing a new wave of fratricidal conflict and casualties" the statement said.
COMMENT-
A very good statement, but a bit too late – Saddam is murdered for all the world to see. Why didn’t this present regime in Russia (or China also) take steps while Saddam was alive and being tried by a kangaroo court? You cannot defend someone and issue statements of disgust while he is dead!
And what about the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs words – "national reconciliation and accord"? It sounds the same as when this regime abolished November 7 – The Great October Socialist Revolution Holiday by, declaring it now as the "Day of Reconciliation and Accord". Which means in fact – peace between the exploiters and the exploited.
History will judge this statement for what it was – a face-saving bravado for doing nothing to protest or to stop this outright murder by American imperialism!
Anti-Fascist Forum "XXI Century" Held in Kiev
A very successful and very well attended Forum - Lessons of Nuremburg was held in Kiev last year where youth delegates spoke and set the stage for condemnation of the present regime in Ukraine and Russia and the actions of US imperialism. They denounced the push for Ukraine joining NATO and the European Union. Below are young communist members with anti-Bush and anti NATO signs.
