This Photograph Speaks Louder Than Words

This photograph was taken in Bracebridge, Ontario about 28 years ago and shows Editor Dyson Carter (passed away) of the magazine "Northern Neighbours" (sitting) and on his left George Legebokoff (passed away) one of the founders of the journal "Focus on Friendship", member of the Executive Committee of the Canada-USSR Association and the best organizer that the Canada-USSR Association had. On the left is Michael Lucas, Chairman of the former Canada-USSR Association, Chairman of the present Canadian Friends of Soviet People, Chairman of the International Council and present Editor of "Northstar Compass".

Dyson Carter, George Legebokoff dedicated their whole life to Socialism and in defence of the Soviet Union. They left a legacy for future Canadians to emulate and follow in their footsteps.

NSC for the last 15 years is printed every month and sent all over the world at a cost of $4,500 average per issue. Above are some of the executive members of the Canadian Friends of Soviet People and Northstar Compass in Toronto who regularly meet at the Friendship House and make certain that the journal keeps on being published. In many of the events being held, we always have the pleasure of being entertained by our member, Kosta Parousis.
