With this January issue of NSC, we would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts the wonderful comrades of the Society of Carpatho-Russian Canadians, who over the past 15 years, so very generously, so comradely and so full of dedication to Socialism and to the rebirth of the USSR, were and are helping financially to support NSC and the Canadian Friends of Soviet People, plus the International Council for Friendship and Solidarity with Soviet People, and letting us use the Friendship House in Toronto, Canada for all of the activities and events.

This Society of Carpatho-Russian Canadians was established in Canada in 1929 from immigrants that came from the Carpathian Mountains in Czechoslovakia and Poland at that time. Since its inception, they kept the flame of Socialism burning and friendship with the people of the Soviet Union.

Their complete dedication and their comradely help to all of us, as well as to all of the progressive movements, will always be deeply cherished and always remembered.

We all wish them a very healthy and long life in the struggles for a better world together with all of us.

We wish you comrades, health, lots of energy in the struggle to unite all of the left-wing forces in the world, in which unfortunately there is now some apathy, but a great desire for internationalism, friendship amongst the people, social justice, which can only be guaranteed by Socialism. Let us turn to Communist ideals which can guarantee the life for the working class, for the schooling, health, and living conditions.
