China Today
In spite of the phenomenal Chinese industrial growth on behalf of the trans-national corporations and the readily available cheap labour force, which is not allowed to organize trade unions at all, the Chinese workers are letting the trade union world know of the serious problems and exploitation that they are suffering.
In an exclusive report published in the National Geographic magazine, full of pictures one story stands out, that that desperate unemployed workers from Mongolia, not finding jobs there, are migrating to China and are working for about 45-55 cents per day in hard labour jobs.
This fact alone does not convince the Wests trade union workers that "Chinese Socialism" is the end all and be all, by any means. As a matter of fact, it does exactly the opposite thus making imperialists-capitalists very happy, since they just have to say: "See, what did we tell you! Communists are exploiting the workers."
Because of the present situation in China, the "brain drain" of their best and brightest talents flee to the West, has now become a major worry for the Chinese policy makers. There is now a domestic skills shortage and the Government is now forced to give special perks and privileges and tax breaks and trying to lure back hundreds of thousands of their compatriots back to China.
This has and is causing tensions between foreign educated and employed Chinese and the less mobile Chinese.
The question of the growing wealthy new class emerging in China is having an influence on the policy of the CPC and its so-called "Chinese road to socialism". Just one example illustrates this the Chinese State adopted a policy in 1979 about taking steps to control the population growth. This policy is being undermined (or ignored now) by the newly rich class. Nearly 10% of the Chinese rich do not follow the policy of one child per family but have opted for three or more children, since they can afford it, private schooling, new rich subdivisions and homes, plus all perks for them that money can buy.
The poor are fined $25,000 if they do not comply, but the newly rich ruling class get away with it.
The biggest multinational corporations, the most ruthless anti-working policies practiced by corporations like Wal-Mart, are situated in China and producing goods that are then exported to the capitalist countries all done of course by cheap Chinese labour force and al this makes Capitalism look great, efficient, supplying goods and thus unemployment is growing and the workers are more and more blaming the Chinese workers and of course, this so-called Socialism! And, all of the Western multinational corporations situated in China, are not only laughing all the way to the bank, but gloating as to how their own workers themselves are now against any sort of socialism!
Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin and Mao would turn in their graves!
