Wave of Fascism Is Spreading Across Europe

News stories over the past two months from Europe should be a wake-up call to all progressive mankind all over the world, but especially to all in former Soviet Union which lost 27 million of their sons and daughters, fighting this scourge of mankind during the Second World War!

Estonian government is demolishing the War Memorial to the Soviet Red Army liberators and exhuming all their bodies to rebury them somewhere else (they say). The protestors against this action were beaten up and jailed by the Estonian police. The Latvian authorities are turning a blind eye to the growing fascist menace. Ukraine is on the brink of civil war because the government demands the full recognition of the Ukrainian SS troops-traitors who fought on the side of the German Nazi army and murdered their own people.

Monuments are being desecrated, removed and vandalism allowed in Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, Czech and Slovak Republics. The present government of Russia is also allowing these crimes to be committed against the Soviet heroes-liberators!

Now the latest crime of fascism was perpetrated in Budapest, Hungary last May 3, 2007. The Hungarian people are shocked at the profanation of the grave of Janos Kadar, the former head of state and the head of the Communist Party of Hungary. These fascist thugs broke open the coffin and took away the remains of Janos Kadar. They also dug up the Urn with the ashes of Maria Kadar, the leaders wife.

This was well organized and no matter how the police and the present bourgeois government tries to deny and absolve themselves, one or two persons without equipment cannot lift and move the heavy marble slabs. They also defaced the Pantheon of the Hungarian Labour Movement with black tar, where other distinguished leaders are buried.

Janos Kadar of the Hungarian Party was the leader for more than 30 years. Most Hungarians regard Kadar as an outstanding politician of the century who has played a very important role in Hungarian society.

The Communists of Russia demanded that Putin’s government should react immediately. Ivan Melnikov, First Deputy of the CPRF, said that he had spoken to the Hungarian Party’s chairman, Gyula Thurmer who said: "Kadar was buried to a depth of two meters in a double coffin – a steel coffin inside a wooden one". These fascist vandals wrote on the remains: "No place for a communist killer on this sacred Hungarian land."

The questions that need to be asked from all of these former Communist leaders and Mr. Putin included, is a very simple one:

-Why did you not protest as a KGB agent-leader - the removal of Stalin’s body from the Mausoleum, why did you allow the desecration and removal of monuments and statutes to him all over former USSR as well as other former Socialist countries?

-Why now, as the fascist menace is growing in Europe, why only diplomatic statements are uttered, just a slap on the wrist and then cocktails will be served.

In the opinion of Melnikov of the CPRF- "Russian regime shares responsibility for all of these events!"

Can you imagine what America would do if such a thing happened to the body of their Abraham Lincoln or George Washington!

What can one expect when the present Russian regime does not recognize as an official holiday the November 7^th; the Soviet flag was abolished by them and replaced with the flag of a Soviet traitor who helped Hitler; the words of the Soviet Anthem were changed – plus the robbery of the gains achieved by the Soviet people in all the years of Socialism?
