Fascism Is Alive and Well in Estonia

Last month and the month before, Estonian government is hell-bent to remove a monument to the Soviet Army from the city of Tallinn.

The Estonian police used tear gas and batons to disperse the protestors who gathered around the monument in order to protect it from being demolished.

Not only the Estonian nationalist-fascists removed the monument to the Red Army liberators who liberated Estonia and other Baltic Republics from Nazi occupation – losing thousands of lives, these present Estonian Nazis will exhume the dead bodies of Soviet soldiers and remove their bones from Tallinn!

Boris Gryzlov of the Russian State Duma expressed it like this: "If the German Nazis could not cope with the living Soviet soldiers, the present Estonian government is trying to cope with the dead ones."

Russia threatened Estonia with economic sanctions.

But this slap on the wrist approach by Mr. Putin is just window dressing and will not have any effect at all. Because these enemies of progress, these tools of US imperialism know very well that the present bourgeois regime of Russia will NOT do much to honour the dead heroes who perished liberating the country.

Monument to liberation

This is not the only case of demolishing and removing Soviet war memorials and monuments in countries that the Soviet Red Army liberated at an enormous cost of life – even the Council of Europe is removing a memorial to the Soviet Red Army soldiers. Then there is the recent closure by the present Polish government of a Soviet Exhibition at Auschwitz death camp memorial – plus the Hungarian government’s plan to remove a Soviet WWII memorial from central Budapest.

The following statement clearly shows what the present Russian regime is like – with no backbone…

The Governor of the Russian speaking enclave in Tallinn, Estonia, had only this solution to the removal, or to the reburial of Soviet soldiers: "We should now remove the Soviet Memorial to Kaliningrad, Russia!"

This is how the present Russian regime stands up to these outright fascist acts and provocations by the countries that the Soviet people lost 27,000,000 of their finest sons and daughters to liberate.

If only these Soviet heroes could rise up from their graves, they would certainly know how to handle the external and also these present internal enemies!
