Freedom for Political Prisoners!
Political Liberties!
Repeal the Repressive Laws!
From the extermination prisons of the fascist "democracy", the political prisoners have always held high the banners of dignity and intransigent defense of revolutionary principles. Just for that reason, the State has always gone to all lengths to try to make them surrender. These attempts have always been shattered by their ideological firmness, their revolutionary commitment, their struggles and hunger strikes even to the death.
And if in the streets the criminalization of the revolutionary organizations, the repression of the struggles of the workers, the detention and tortures in the prisons continue, the repressive anger has only multiplied under the fraudulent "peace process" of the social-fascist government: life imprisonment by means of the so-called "Parot Doctrine", the "death penalty" through illness, legal kidnapping, dispersion, isolation, beatings…
Because of all this, our Party calls on everyone to redouble their efforts for the freedom of the political prisoners, especially those who are seriously ill, those who have already served their sentences and those who, such as our Secretary General, Manuel Perez Martinez (Arenas) and Isabel Llaquet Baldellou, leader of our Party, continue to be kidnapped in the dungeons of Zapatero after being extradited from France.
We must begin an intense campaign that will unite the struggle for the freedom of the political prisoners with the struggle for political liberties and against the repressive laws; since one should not only try to have them freed, but also to eliminate the causes for which they were sent to jail.
This campaign, to be effective, should be constant and organized, should promote mobilization of the workers and bring the struggle to the streets, one should see to it that the combative anti-fascist unity is done, in practice, together with other organizations of solidarity and democratic collectives.

Legal Kidnapping of Our Top Leaders:
Our Secretary General M.P.M. (Arenas) and Isabel Llaquet Baldellou (outstanding leader of the Direction of the Party) have been accused of all kinds of actions of GRAPO [October First Antifascist Resistance Groups]. It does not matter that they have no proof at all, since in reality what they are trying to do is to make them into examples of the politics of reprisals and blackmail against our Party for the fact that we have not foresworn our principles and revolutionary objectives.
Application of the "Death Penalty" through Illness
Manuel Perez Martines (Arenas) has had his kidneys destroyed, he has several hernias and no one knows how many other serious ailments due to years of isolation in the dungeons of France; he has been the object of the most criminal lack of medical attention. Josefina Garcia Aramburu, a veteran member of out Party, has chronic heart disease, angina and other serious ailments, her life is in very serious danger and, besides not being given medical attention, she has been denied her freedom despite having no open judicial cases against her. Maria Jose Baños Andujar, a fighter of the GRAPO, has had AIDS for years and could require a liver transplant; she has also been denied her freedom.
Application of Life Imprisonment
Jaime Simon Quintela, a member of our Party, despite having been imprisoned for 21 years and 10 months and having fulfilled his whole sentence in July of 2006, he remains in prison under the so-called "Parot Doctrine." This measure, which legalizes life imprisonment for those political prisoners who do not renounce their revolutionary ideas and therefore do not repent, will also be applied against all those who are very close to finishing their sentences.
