Czar Putin’s Very Crooked Election

Following that extremely crooked, dirty, terror-filled elections for the 5th Russian Duma, I was amazed that even the anti-Soviet and Western pro-Putin chorus of cheerleaders were absolutely shocked and dismayed that such an affront to the people of Russia should have taken pace in December of 2007. Many international observers walked out of their Russian observation posts across in absolute disgust.

There was not only cheating, stuffed ballot boxes, intimidation, but actual physical attacks – besides, the state media apparatus was working 24-hours to elect Putin, while the opposition parties had absolutely no chance to get on the air, even if they had the large sum of $$$ that were needed.

On top of all this farcical election, Mr. Putin must have copied a page from Hitler’s Young Fascist Guards. His youth group, Nashy – Ours” that he formed, sponsored, paid for, trained and supplied with all that was needed to attack all of the other candidates, disrupt their meetings, attack and even occupy some of their offices and march brazenly through the streets with Putin’s OMON Gestapo making sure that the people do not protest against this stage-managed Gestapo scenario.

Already Czar Putin has picked his successor whom he anointed already to succeed him, even before the Russian Presidential elections that will take place in March of this year. He is his protégé, 42-year old Dmitry Medvedev. The idea of Putin was expressed outright by the following interview that he gave to the world media last year: “I want to continue leading Russia and therefore I want to be the Prime Minister and leader of my United Russia Party.” He also was quoted as saying that: he wants to restore the borders of former USSR, but minus the influence of the Communist Party and make it the Greater Russia.

As we here at NSC stated many times before, Putin wants to be the CZAR OF GREATER RUSSIA!

To achieve this, there is also speculation that as future Prime Minister, he wants to unite Russia and Byelorussia into One State, of which he would then become its President.

This absolute Mafiosi scenario should be an urgent wake-up call for the UNITY of all the anti-Putin’s Communist parties and movements!

By finding excuses, by endlessly quoting Marx and Lenin, by debating, already for 16 years – comrades – enough is enough! Words are cheap!

It is deeds that count now, dear comrades! Probably Mr. Putin (as the former KGB officer) probably could quote Marx and Lenin as well as everyone else!

Dear readers:

Below we print a Statement from the Presidium of the biggest Communist Party in Russia – the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. NSC has criticized the CPRF and Zyuganov – and rightly so – for missing the opportunity to have become the leading force in Russia.

On the Preliminary results of the elections of the Deputies of the 5th State Duma of the Russian Federation.

Dmitry Medvedev, favored to succeed Vladimir Putin

The election of Deputies to the State Duma were dirtier and more unlawful that any others before. This was witnessed by tens of thousands of irregularities that were revealed during the course of this campaign. This is also confirmed by a parallel count of votes conducted by the electoral headquarters of the CPRF. All of this gives us solid grounds for considering the results of the election held on December 2, 2007, and they should be considered null and void.

The CPRF has withstood the barrage of lies and slander, but it has emerged from the elections still stronger and more cohesive. It had strengthened its authority. It has gained more than 500,000 new votes than at the previous elections for the Russian Parliament. It continues its campaign for the power of the working people.

We have no grounds for reproaching ourselves. We have done all that could be done to bring our electoral message to the Russian people. We had thousands of meetings with our constituents.

We have already more than a Third of the Protocols in the Russian Court System. The results of the recount attest to the obvious rigging of the returns. We also have collected more than 10,000 complaints to various instances, including the prosecution state bodies.

We will raise this question before the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, the issue of canceling the results of this election as invalid. But this is not enough.

This is why we held an All Russian Protest Rally on December 22, 2007. Join our ranks!

OUR CAUSE IS RIGHT!
VICTORY WILL BE OURS!

Gennady Zyuganov
Chairman of the CC CPRF

Progressive mankind will be watching your actions, comrade Zyuganov!

This is how a Bulgarian Communist reader of NSC saw that election!
