Putin’s Power Play Game

In
the newspaper of the Slav Committee of the Czech Republic “Slavjanska
Vzajemnost” there
was published a short analysis of the Russian presidential election
held last month plus the
political satire cartoon as pictured on the NSC. The analyses concluded
that Mr. Medvedev was
“the chosen one” by Putin
already, because the present Russian ruling class had already
concurred on Mr. Medvedev and he had the backing of the Russian
Orthodox Church as well.
Besides publishing just some
clips of Western capitalist press attitude, we also publish the
political
cartoon about this so-called election that was published in Canada in
the Toronto newspaper
Toronto Daily Star.
Let the Western capitalist
press comment – since NSC readers know our position on this election
farce.
* Putin is not stepping
down; he is becoming the “power behind the throne” as
Prime Minister. Mr.
Putin has also amassed a great fortune during his term as President of
Russia, amounting to over
$40 BILLION US DOLLARS in
offshore banks, according to the published interview by the
Russian political scientist, Stanislav Belkovsky which he gave to the
German newspaper “DIE
WELT”. It turns out that Mr. Putin is much richer than any of
the wealthiest Russian Oligarchs.
Where did that money come from?
Therefore it is naïve for
Putin and now Mr. Medvedev to proclaim that they are fighting and will
fight “the rampant corruption in Russia.”
* There were 4 other
candidates but most of them did not have the 200,000 Euros to spend on
their election campaign.
* There was cheating,
irregularities, names left off the election lists, threats, physical
assaults and
cheating in the counting of votes –this is according to even the New
York Times, Washington
Post, Toronto Star. Associated Press, The Economist and the expose in
many of the Russian
newspapers and parties, which saw with their own eyes the fallacy of
this “presidential election.”
* The most obvious
fallacy and unbelievable put-up-lie was a photo by Putin’s media and
published in the capitalist press of a Russian elderly woman in far
away village in Siberia, living in
squalor, with two goats in her room sharing the food plate and Putin’s
controlled media was there
to photograph that this woman was casting her vote for Medvedev. They
even had an official
Ballot Box on the floor, together with the two goats.
If you are going to tell
us that this was just by chance photograph – well you are as guilty of
lying
as was Putin and his protégé Medvedev.
