years of absolute monarchy and exploitation of the masses that was very

The first session of the Parliament after the monarchy was abolished met last My 26 and, at this historic first session Nepal was established as an “independent, indivisible, sovereign, secular and inclusive democratic republic nation.”
During this historic birth of the nation in the 601-seat Assembly only 4 members opposed the change. The deposed Monarch was given two weeks to vacate his throne and palace.
This Monarch was so hated and so brutal, that after the Communist Party of Nepal (M) won, this prompted wild celebrations all across the country.
