When that darling of the West Solzhenitsyn died in August of this year, here are the words uttered by Mr. Putin, also the buddy-buddy of Mr. Bush:

"Together with the entire nation he lived through a great tragedy of repression by Stalin. He not only lived through it, but through his works and his entire life he inoculated our society against tyranny in all its forms…"

Putin is putting into effect that "the memory of Solzhenitsyn must be preserved and therefore all of his works will become an important part of the curriculum in all public, high school and universities in Russia."

COMMENT:

We wonder whether Mr. Putin, a former KGB agent knows that Mr. Solzhenytsin was a captain during WW II of an artillery battery and was cooperating with the enemy. He was arrested, demoted and sent to prison. Other countries during the life and death struggle would have sentenced him to death by as firing squad.

Yes, the Soviet Red Army was too lenient with this traitor, who admired fascism!
