Hand of Putin Behind the 388-58 Vote in the Russian Duma

New York Times in Moscow – November 16, 2008

“A Bill in the Russian Duma extending Russia’s presidency from four to six years as a start was barreled through the Duma with a vote of 388 for and only 59 against. The vote against was by the 57 CPRF members in the Duma plus one other member.”

Although there was vocal criticism by the CPRF Duma members and some others, but no united action was taken to protest this move by the present regime of Medvedev-Putin, who now gave an unprecedented concentration of power into Putin’s hands.

It is self-evident that Putin’s protégé Medvedev, proposed this measure in the Russian Dumas as a political screen to get Putin back into the presidency. Even the New York Times and Washington Post saw through this political fog and quoted Putin’s remark that he made to the Russian press last June in Moscow:

“I think that a four year term in today’s Russia is too short and we must have a five, six, seven or even longer terms for today’s Russian President.”

The Putin-Medvedev members of Duma have also extended their tenure from four to five years and with a pay raise to boot.

Even most Western capitalist governments would think twice before attempting such a travesty of justice, for fear that the electorate would take to the streets in protest!

This attempt by Putin through his crony Medvedev - that he put-in into the presidency – is a sign of danger, not only for the Russian people, but also for the whole of former Soviet Union and the resurrection of the USSR!

UNITED WE STAND – DIVIDED WE FALL!

BACK TO THE FUTURE! BACK TO THE USSR!

USSR Was Known As The Most Reading Country In The World!

“After 15-20 years of capitalism, according to Sociologists, only 8 per cent of families in current Russia read books to their children – something that was impossible to imagine 15-20 year ago. But the most depressing point is that 48 per cent of Russians poled now do not read any books at all and, what is also most horrifying, they are not afraid to admit it!

The tendency is that the main priority in reading nowadays for most people, including those with university education, remain “books for entertainment only”. Less and less people are using libraries; mainly those who are considered to be the weakest social groups that cannot afford buying books, are still using them. Its also rather sad with the home book collections: over 60 per cent of today’s Russian families do not have home libraries.”

I Will Continue To Dismember Russia

By VLADIMIR SHKARUPA

Last October the Communists of the city of Mineralniye Vody held a demonstration in front of the V.I. Lenin monument. Already for 15 years we get together at this spot in order to remember and honor May Day, November 7th and other Soviet holidays and anniversaries and also to show our support and dedication in the struggles against the present regime. We always have Red Flags flying, pictures of Stalin and slogans such as “Our Home – USSR!” – “Only a Socialist Revolution will save Russia!”

At this time we had banners saying “On October 3-4, 1993 the Supreme Soviet building was bombarded” – we paid homage to the hundreds of Soviet patriots that were killed by the Yeltsin Regime. Another slogan was “Stalin built USSR. Putin is dismembering Russia” – “I will keep on dismembering Russia – Medvedev!”

Let us remember that under the leadership of Stalin and the two Five Year Plans brought up the Soviet Union into a mighty industrial country – second in the whole world!

In 2004, when Putin was going or his second term as president, he said that: “Our Central Bank has over $73 Billions on hand; it is enough for us to pay for all of the imports.” In actual fact Putin was financing production in the US, Germany, Turkey and China – while Russia has to import its goods that we produced in abundance under Socialism!

This means that Stalin was a great patriot of the USSR, while Putin-Medvedev are enemies of Russia!

Medvedev is continuing on the same path set by Putin and is dismembering Russia!
