How much attention do elections in Japan, India, Argentina, or any other country, get from the US media? How many Americans or American journalists even know as to who is in the political office in other countries besides England, France and Germany? Who can name the political leader in Switzerland, Holland, Brazil, Japan or even China?
Yet, many Americans know the name of Iran's President Ahmadenijad! The reason is very obvious. He is daily demonized by all of the US media! The President of Iran is not the ruler. He is not the Commander-in-chief of the armed forces. He cannot set the policies outside the boundaries set by Iran's rulers, the Ayatollahs, who are not willing for the Iranian Revolution to be overturned by American money in some "color-coded revolution" financed from across the ocean.
The US media's demonization of Ahmadenijad itself demonstrates American ignorance. The first democratic election, after emerging from the occupied and colonized status in the 1950's was overturned by the US Government. The US installed in place of the elected candidate a dictator who tortured and murdered dissidents who thought that Iran should be an independent country and not ruled by an American puppet.
US imperialism has never forgiven the Islamic Ayatollahs for the Iranian Revolution in the late 1970's, which overthrew the American puppet government and held hostage the US Embassy staff, while Iranian students pieced together the shredded embassy documents that proved beyond a shadow of a doubt American complicity in the destruction of the Iranian democracy.
American imperialist daily news media trumpets that it was a "stolen election" and of course Britain, France and Germany, like little puppy dogs follow their master.Even some of the American left wing has endorsed the US government’s propaganda.
The assertions by the US-supported candidate who lost the election are the source of all of these lies.
COMMENT:
The American people should ask President Obama themselves as to why
their tax dollars are supporting these planned demonstrations - why not
use that money for healthcare for the American people?

Dear compatriots;
Friends of the world;
Once again the judicial mask of the most hypocritical society that was ever established falls down exposing the true face of US Imperialism and insulting the world's conscience with a cynical message: Their own laws will not prevent them from securing the impunity of their own terrorists.
It has not been difficult to understand the meaning of the term change in the jargon of the US establishment – at least when it refers to Cuba. The web of crimes, genocide, arrogance and meanness that has shaped the psyche of this empire will not be disentangled by the election of a new US president timely drawn from out of a still oppressed segment of the American people.
To us the Cuban Five, who for over a decade have been treated with despicable viciousness and cowardice, it is but the reiteration of an already familiar moral: It does not matter how low our captors have fallen, they can always prove their infinite capacity to tall even lower.
For us and our families it is already too late to do justice; and the same is true of the decimated native peoples; of the countries whose territories have been usurped; of the millions of human beings burned to death by incendiary bombs, vanished by accomplices to dictatorships, tortured under the advice of Yankee officers or massacred around the world by corporate appetite. It is much too late to do justice to the thousands of victims of terrorism against Cuba, the same terrorism whose prevention is our unforgivable crime.
We five soldiers proudly and consciously occupying our trench, which have decided to rise for something rather than to fall for northing. We are the living mirror of the moral values of the people where the enemy – helpless and full of rage – can see its own lack of values, its spiritual poverty, its frail image and all its evils. We are Five Cuban Revolutionaries the enemy will never subdue, an enemy that will live every day of its life with the humiliation of not understanding why.
To the people of the world, the shamelessness of this process is but a repetition of an old lesson: We are facing an Empire that will not stop at any crime if it believes that it can get away with it. No ethical consideration or universal outcry will make it stop, but the price imposed by resistance.
To the Cuban people, the real target of this act of vengeance, it becomes another reason to become united, to not believe in appearances, to always expect the worst from the aggressor, and to never cease in the construction of a society where the hypocrisy, revanchism, indignity, deceit and cowardice that fosters a process like ours are never taken from human virtues, as it is the case in the neighboring empire.
That will be the only measure of justice worthy of its victims!
EVER ONWARD TO VICTORY!
As British troops wind down their role in the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan due to the mounting pressure by the British people, CBS News reported at the beginning of August that a large contingent of elite Colombian Special Operation Forces are leaving to take up their duties in both Afghanistan and in Iraq.
Colombia is the top recipient of US aid, despite having one of the worst human rights records as defined by the United Nations Organization, and the world's second largest displaced persons population after Sudan.
A top US official told the CBS News that: The more Afghanistan and Iraq can look to Colombia, the better!"
We publish these photographs of the May Day events across Poland that were published in their journal "BRZASKÈ, the organ of the Communist Party of Poland, sent us by Professor Zbigniew Wiktor who is a member of the International Council and of Northstar Compass Editorial Board.
The Communists working in Poland have a difficult time to propagate
since the regime of Poland is very closely tied to NATO, the EU and
has US missiles and US troops stationed on parts of the
Polish territory. The slogans carried by the marchers, many of them
young people were such as "Capitalism is not working!" "Stop the
repressions!" and "Capitalism Kills People!"
