The occupation of south Korea by the US, itself was illegal and a reckless violation of the sovereignty of the Korean people. Korea that liberated itself from the colonial rule of Japan in the mid 20th century, was not a defeated country in the war and nobody in Korea requested interference or help from outsiders. However, US occupied our country instead of Japan, defeated in WW II, to dominate the Korean Peninsula located in this geopolitical area. This was the crime that violated international laws and instituted the international law and imposed terror on the independent state.

U.S. did not accept the proposal by the USSR which helped to defeat Japan. The US was worried about losing the opportunity to interfere in Korea, and pushed for a "Split occupation plan" that divided the surrounded Japanese Army in Korea into two parts, along the 38th parallel. This divided Korea into the North and South in August of 1945, when the Korean People's Revolutionary Army and the USSR Red Army started an all out attack against the Japanese occupational army, after Germany was defeated and Japan was suing for peace.

On September 8, 1945, over 45,000 US troops landed in South Korea. The disarming of the Japanese Army was just a pretext to justify the occupation, because one month had already passed after the surrender of Japan and the Korean people already had organized in Korea all the administrative bodies -People's Committees were set up in city, township and provinces in all of Korea. But this was not to the liking of US President Truman and his "General Order No. 1".

US Command under direct orders from Truman refused the Soviet proposal that all foreign troops should be withdrawn from the Korean Peninsula. The US occupation troops dissolved all elected people's committees that were already set up all across Korea and started to suppress all the progressive organizations and arresting its leaders.

The ambitions of the US were to divide Korea and thus establish a bridgehead in their plans for the New World Order. The following was in the official report by US General Wedemeyer: "The emergence of a unified, independent democratic Korea would in the future be a great threat to the US strategic interests in the Far East. Therefore, in order to guarantee the best interests of the United States, there is no alternative but to occupy south Korea."

In 1948, ignoring the desire of the whole of Korean nation to build a unified and legal government in Korea, the US set up a pro-American "Government" in south Korea and thus provoked the Korean War in order to try and dominate the whole of the Korean Peninsula.

US has turned south Korea into the largest nuclear arsenal in the Far East Asia as well as the military domination of the region.

Today the withdrawal of the US occupation troops from south Korea is the last relic of the Cold War and cannot be delayed any longer.
