Thursday, January 21, 2010, the president of the International Coalition against Impunity, lawyer May El-Khansa will leave to The Hague, for the tenth time, accompanied by a number of European lawyers. She will also be accompanied by Sheikh Ahmad Dahshan and his wife, who is being treated in Turkey after the organization succeeded after many efforts to get her out of Gaza for treatment. Dahshan's wife was severely injured by white phosphorus shells. The Dahshan family will be an example of the Israeli crimes that the International Coalition Against Impunity (HOKOK) will present before the International Criminal Court to stimulate it to announce the beginning of investigations into Israeli crimes. It's worth mentioning that some of Sheikh Ahmad Dahshan's family members were martyred in the Israeli aggression against Gaza.
The organization will submit a 300-page new complaint to the ICC including documents of Israeli crimes committed in Gaza until this present day. The complaint and the documents also include documentations of the violations of International law that will be appended to the nine previous complaints registered in the Court under reference number: OTP-CR-4425/08. ICAI has taken legal action against those who have planned the construction of the iron wall; the number of defendants has reached 150. All the documents confirm the Israeli crimes committed till today. The complaint will also include United Nations Fact Finding Mission report that details the crimes committed by Israel during its war on Gaza last year. The complaint will provide information about the ongoing blockade of Gaza and the construction of the iron wall between the Gaza Strip and Egypt in accordance with the US-Israeli agreement.
On the first anniversary of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, the International Coalition against Impunity presents a report that highlights the reality of life in the occupied Gaza Strip, and illustrates the dramatic deterioration in human rights brought about by 928 days of unjust blockade, continuous aggression, incursions, and attacks committed by the Israeli occupation.
The organization members will meet with Court's officials January 22, 2010, at 3:30 P.M. to discuss the latest developments in the lawsuit filed against crimes committed by Israel and its accomplices.
