The author, Japanese journalist Tanaka Sakai in Japan Focus provides evidence that the truth about this incident is very different than the story that was issued by South Korea and picked up by US and the mainstream media, and he offers a well-reasoned hypothesis about what really happened.
In a nutshell, Tanaka points out the fact which was not included in the hysteria in the media: “South Korea stated at first, it was claimed, that a US submarine was also sunk in the waters off Baengyeong Island.” Tanaka also reported that in the early reports by the media of South Korea, it had shown maps about this incident – but immediately after this was squelched. They then issued this statement: " The double-sinking was a "friendly fire" mishap between a covertly stationed US submarine (kept secret even from the South Korean Military Command) and a South Korean patrol vessel, which mistook it for a North Korean submarine spying in the S. Korean waters."On the day of the sinking{s) a joint US-South Korean naval exercise was in progress in the waters not far from where the sinking happened.
The only evidence cited by the news reports implicating N. Korea is a torpedo blade known to have been made in China or Russia. This is another false flag operation as was the evidence at the 9/11 Twin Towers in New York.

It is good to remember that US imperialism started the Vietnam War due to its false flag provocation that they provoked on August 2, 1964, when US President Johnson announced that three North Vietnamese torpedo boats had launched an unprovoked attack on the USS Maddox, a US Navy destroyer, in the Gulf of Tonkin.
In 1971 the New York Times newspaper reported that the Pentagon Papers, a very secret Pentagon Report, revealed that this incident had been faked to provide a pretext for escalating military intervention by the US Armed Forces. There had been absolutely no attack by the North Vietnamese Torpedo Boats!
But, the US Pentagon should have told all of the thousands of US widows and orphans about this false flag operation that killed hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese people and devastated Vietnam with napalm as well as the infrastructure of the country.
This is another false flag provocation by South Korea under the guidance of US Imperialism – claiming that a North Korean torpedo from its submarine sunk the South Korean warship Cheonan.
But this false flag provocation was dismissed by Won See-hoon, the South Korean National Intelligence Head, who told the South Korean Parliament two weeks after this incident took place, that there is absolutely no linking of North Korea to this sinking and the loss of life.
After the great media outcry and the hysteria by the US and South Korean Press – this news item just disappeared. But was there any correction or retraction published in the media controlled by the multinational news barons? Of course not!
This false flag operation by US imperialism was now old news – the CIA and their many cohorts oversees are planning future false flag operations.

The Shanghai Defense Bloc will not allow Iran to become a member. This Security Bloc is headed by Russia, China and Central Asia countries. The reason given by Russia is that there are UN sanctions against Iran on the insistence of US and Israel.
Iran applied to join this Bloc – which was meant to be a counterweight
to NATO – in 2008, even before any sanctions were taken.

Amnesty International complained in its Annual Report that the US and the members of the European Union had obstructed international justice by using their position on the UN Security Council to shield Israel from accountability for war crimes committed during last year's Gaza war. This rights group accused Israel of violating international law, leaving Gaza residents without adequate food or water supplies.
South African Justice Richard Goldstone condemned Israel in the United Nations commissioned report: "Israeli forces committed war crimes and other serious breaches of international law in the Gaza strip during the 22-day military offensive that ended January 18, 2009. They carried out indiscriminate attacks against civilians, targeted and killed medical staff, used Palestinian civilians as "human shields". They also indiscriminately fired white phosphorous over densely populated residential areas. More than 1,380 Palestinians, including 330 children and hundreds of other civilians were killed."
Amnesty's Annual Roundup of abuses urged all member of G-20 to set an example to the world by signing up to the International Criminal Court.
The United States and other members of G-20 have refused to ratify the court's founding treaty, partly because they fear that the court could become a forum for prosecution of troops in unpopular wars like Iraq and Afghanistan.
Israel stated that its forces abided only by the International Law throughout the war last year!

He called a press conference and without any explanation he resigned because of the people’s turmoil regarding the question of German troops in Afghanistan. After visiting the German troops in Afghanistan last May 22, Kohler stated to the press in simple terms: "In order to support our German economic interests, we're ready to send in our military anyplace and ‘keep the natives in line.’”
Actually this is nothing new. A White Book published by the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) in 2006, stated this very clearly:"... Disturbances in international commerce and disturbances in the flow of raw materials and commodities... must be met not only with diplomacy and economic policy, but also by military means, including armed intervention"
It is a fact that over 70% of the German people opposed German troops being sent to Afghanistan, but the ruling Christian Democrats and Free Democrats pushed this through against the will of the people.
The pesent German government is very supportive of Israel by quoting word by word the official story of the Israeli commandos that it was the peace activists who attacked the innocent Israel commandos.
Besides, Germany does not want an International enquiry into this
massacre, because Germany is the second largest provider of armaments
to Israel after only the US – including the soon to be finished
atomic-armed submarines stationed in the Persian Gulf Coast, close to
the coast of Iran!

WASHINGTON – A prominent physicians’ organization charged that the medical personnel in the CIA used to test and refine the effectiveness of water-boarding and other harsh interrogation techniques for detainees in US custody, under the guise of safeguarding their health.
Physicians for Human Rights outlined these allegations from the Bush-era program and called on the White House to investigate. This report was based on the re-examination of records that had been previously released.
The US officials of course denied this report. The author of this report, Nathaniel Raymond added that those declassified US government reports had never been examined in detail and with an eye on the laws, including the Nuremberg Code, that were established by the United Nations to ban the Nazi Germany medical experiments.
If the White House is turning its back on this, it can be perceived as a war crime. According to this Report, "CIA medical personnel were required to monitor all water-boarding practices and collect detailed medical information that was used to design, develop and deploy subsequent water-boarding procedures."
For example, the report said, the CIA doctors recommended adding salt water used for water-boarding, so that the detainee wouldn't experience hyponatremia "a condition of low sodium levels in the blood caused by free water intoxication."
These doctors were also ordered to detail on the pain inflicted on the detainee when various techniques were used in combination. This was to see if the pain caused violated the Bush Administration's definition of torture, rather than a safeguard of the detainee's health.
This Report also raised questions about the role of Obama "new and improved detainee investigation group,” known as the HIG. Its role is to research for a more successful interrogation technique of the detainees.

An official in the government of Armenia claims that that the United States is planning to deploy its forces into Armenia, near the Iranian border under the cover of UN Peacekeeping Force. Demonstrations are already being held against this attempt by the present leadership of Armenia, which is trying to join NATO.

The Red Shirt Revolutionary Movement in Thailand brought the capital city to a halt and battled the reactionary government for months. It spread all across Thailand and demanded that new and fair elections be held. There was bloodshed and deaths, since the Red Shirts had nothing to defend themselves with except stones against the firepower of the Thailand Army.
Although the Red Shirts were forced to retreat, this is not the end.
The Thai people set an example and the spark will ignite the flame of
resistance, not only in Thailand, but in other countries in their
struggles against exploitation.

BEIRUT: A Jewish European peace group is to launch a boat to break the blockade of Gaza by Israel. European Jews for Just Peace (EJJP) – an umbrella organization of Jewish groups from 10 European countries against the occupation of Palestine, is drawing attention to the blockade, which it calls "immoral."
"We want to show the world that not all Jews support Israel", said Edith Lutz, a German member of the EJJP. "We are calling for a just solution and for an end to this blockade!"
On board the ship will be activists from all across Europe, including an 85-year old Holocaust survivor from Israel.
Glyn Seeker from Britain who will be the captain of the ship told the media "We want to make a very clear statement that the way Israel is treating the Palestinians, we believe is extremely immoral. We want to state emphatically "not in our name!"
He concluded: "We as Jews are frightened that this policy of Israel
will help anti-Semitism to grow. We also want to show that Israel does
not represent all the Jews of the world!"

According to the International Trade Union Confederation Survey, there is very great pressure on fundamental workers' rights around the world as the global economic crisis of capitalism on employment deepened.
Of 101 murders – 48 were killed in Colombia, 126 in Guatemala, 122 in Honduras, 6 in Mexico, 6 in Bangladesh, 1 in Iraq, 4 in Brazil, 3 in the Philippines, 1 in India, 1 in Iraq and 1 in Nigeria. These numbers do not take into account the hundreds that are missing all over the world, being abducted and killed.
Thousands of trade unionists are in jail all over the world, including large numbers in Iraq, Iran, Honduras, Pakistan, South Korea, Turkey and Zimbabwe in particular.
Anti-democratic forces continue to target trade union organizers and
trade union organizational activity as in Honduras and in Guinea,
Egypt, India, Kenya and Nepal. The trade union rights are continuing to
deteriorate in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine dramatically.

To try to separate the women from the struggle of the working class is
a direct attack against their fight and their rights as well as against
