Statement by the CPGB-ML, May 31, 2010
Dear readers:
We are publishing this Statement since it covers most of the known facts of this criminal act by Israel. In this issue we are also publishing other authors, statements and photos to show that Fascism is alive and well in Israel!
Early in the morning of May 31, in international waters some 100 miles from Gaza's coastline, Israeli Commandos forcibly boarded a peaceful convoy of Aid Ships that were headed to the Gaza City.
Although exact number as of this date are not known, but so far at least 16 or 20 volunteers at the main ship, the Mavi Mamara are confirmed to have been murdered by the Israeli forces, who were using live ammunition against the people on board. Dozens more were wounded and all passengers have been abducted to an unknown destination in Israel.
The 800 volunteers were trying to deliver 10,000 tons of vital aid to Gaza area from 40 countries that included many parliamentarians, journalists, women, children and the elderly. Forty members of this Aid flotilla are British citizens.
Flotilla's cargo of essential supplies denied to Palestinians under the illegal and UN condemned blockade, included 2,100 tones of cement, 600 tones of iron bars, all needed for construction of houses and infrastructures that were destroyed by the brutal Israeli massacre last December 8 and January 9, which left more than 1,417 Palestinians dead and over 5,000 wounded, many of whom are maimed for life.
Also on board were 18 large and 80 small electric generators, 50 large and 40 small prefab houses, 16 complete children's playground kits, sports equipment, including footballs and basketballs and $1 Million worth of medical equipment including a complete dental office, plus construction and hardware supplies. The ships also carried stationary supplies, including crayons, pens and 20 tones of paper for schools, as well as textiles and food, including chocolate for Gaza children, currently this is banned by Israel.
The volunteers and the peace activists of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla were UNARMED. Their power lies not in weapons but in their determination to act where governments have refused to act. Standing in solidarity with their Palestinian brothers and sisters in their determination against Israel's illegal occupation of Palestine and the collective punishment of over 1.7 million people (more than half of whom are children) living under siege, these volunteers have raised money in their communities to bring lifesaving supplies to the besieged people of Gaza.
It is also significant that this Freedom Flotilla is supported by the Director of Operations for the United Nations Relief and Work Agency (UNWRA), who stated that Gaza deserves the same urgent assistance that Haiti received.
John Ging of the-UNWRA sated before the flotilla sailed for Gaza that: " We believe that Israel will not intercept these humanitarian vessels, because the sea is open, and human rights organizations have been successful in similar previous operations that breaking the siege of Gaza is possible."
Of course his optimism proved false, but it shows as to how Israel has become isolated in the eyes of the word (of course not in the eyes of the US, Britain, Russia or China, who are not taking a stand. Editor of NSC)
Let the sacrifice of our comrades not be in vain. And let us take heart from the fact that with this latest act of barbarism Israel has knocked yet another nail into its own coffin and taken another giant step down the road to its own self-destruction.
Long live the martyrs of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla! Hound the Israel warmongers! Long live Palestine!

"The attack by the Israel Army against the civilian boats bringing help to the Palestinians in Gaza was a savage and a barbaric act which emulates the atrocities committed by the Nazi regime in the 20th Century.

by its actions that they have no respect for human life. We believe
that this barbaric action must be immediately followed by breaking off
of diplomatic and trade relations with Israel! There must be immediate
expulsion of all Zionist diplomatic representatives from our country
and the closing of all the offices relating to Israel."
TURKEY:
CC – Communist Party of Turkey demands:
* Immediate deportation of the diplomatic mission of Israel in Turkey.
* Cancellations of all military agreements between Turkey and Israel!
* Cancellation of all secret agreements made with Israel and making all of these agreements public.
* Bringing Zionism to account for this aggression in every possible international platform.
We call upon our people not to keep silent for the sake of ourcountry's and humanity's future.
APPEAL OF THE BRUSSELS TRIBUNAL
Israel's murderous action of her soldiers, armed and wearing gas masks, fast roping from helicopters onto an Aid Ship filled with unarmed civilians, journalists, parliamentarians, human rights activists, mothers, doctors who were heading to Gaza to break the inhuman siege by Israel that keeps 1,5 million people somewhere between life and death.
Gaza is one of the largest open-air prisons and the 21st Century’s undeclared concentration camp.
Israel has lost the battle for international pubic opinion a long time ago. No one can forget the relentless starving of a captive civilian population in Israel's war on Gaza. Who can Israel persuade now? (The US will always support Zionist Israel – Editor)
* We condemn Israel.
* We call on all of the international organizations, including the UN and EU to also condemn Israel.
* We demand an International Tribunal to try Israel for war crimes.
* We support all efforts to free the people of Gaza from their prison and their suffering.
NSC publishes here just a few remarks made by this well-respected personality.
*War criminal Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel directly ordered the strike against the international flotilla on its way to Gaza, while on an official visit to Canada.
*This act constituted piracy and in violation of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
*Why wasn't this action condemned by President Obama? A senior source in Jerusalem Government stated that the US gave guarantee that US would not condemn this action. Obama also assured Israel that it would not allow any action to be taken against Israel!
BIRDS OF A FEATHER ALWAYS STICK TOGETHER!

Turkish officials have reported that they will dispatch a military escort with future aid flotillas to the Gaza Strip in response to the massacre of aid workers on board of one of the ships by Israel commandos. The scope of this operation was not disclosed.
The security forces inside Turkey are reporting that Prime Minister Receo Tayyip Erdogan is considering accompanying this aid flotilla himself.
Turkey's population has expressed outrage over the massacre of Turkish citizens and the government has expressed its displeasure at Israel's attack. Anti-Israeli protestors have been out in force condemning both Erdogan and Israel in general for the massacre of the aid workers.
If Israel should attack the Aid Convoy and the Turkish naval escort, Turkey would call upon the international community for aid, and it is unlikely that Israel will choose to solve this crisis by military action!
Unless Mr. Obama will show his true colors and utter Bush's words of defiance: "Bring them On!
