The present world economic crisis is ending the taboo on Marxism, because more and more works on the teachings of Marx and his Das Kapital are being published all over the world, while the media is also publishing special sections on Karl Marx.
Although many of these publications dedicated to Marx are not the same in content and accuracy, the sudden interest in Marx is a growing phenomenon that is now starting to worry the ruling class as well as the revisionists, who are now being urged to quote Marx more often.
Questions are being asked as to how you explain the increase on the part of the capitalist mainstream media and them putting Marx in the spotlight.
People and some of the more progressive media began to realize that neo-liberalism, which provided a theoretical basis for Globalization was in fact causing inequality for the people and poverty, while at the same time it was giving free rein to capitalist exploitation – and, once again, people are starting to realize that capitalism is the enemy of humanity – the honeymoon was over! The effect of globalization has degraded and aimed to do way with any protective semblance of a welfare state. This cut-throat capitalist competition resulted in industries being moved off-shore to cheap, non-organized labor force, while the much weakened trade unions were unable to react due to some of their sell-out trade union leadership.
This looked as if capitalism was triumphant, and somehow it gave the lie to the teachings of Marx. But at the same time, the evils of capitalism showed without any doubt that Marx was absolutely correct.
In order to counteract this renewed interest in Marx, a feature film about Trotsky is being shown in movie theaters; new books on Trotsky are published and lectures are held in lavish hotels.
All of this is very well planned, promoted and financed! By whom and why should be self-evident.
But the answer my friends is blowing in the wind, the answer is blowing in the wind!
