On May 1 the Communists of the city of Mineralny Vody came to the monument of V.I. Lenin to a meeting that was organized by the present City Council, which tried to unite with us on this event. But we came to this meeting with our red flags, portraits of Lenin and Stalin and signs that read: "May 1 is the International Day of Labor Solidarity!" "May 1 is not a Holiday – May 1 is the Day of Struggle!" "No Unity with enemies of the USSR!" We sang the International and the Hymn of the Soviet Union, plus Soviet songs.
On May 5th we also celebrated the birthday of Karl Marx.
On May 9th we gathered around the monument to V.I. Lenin to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of the victory by the Soviet People over fascism in the Great Patriotic War. With portraits of Stalin and signs "Glory to Stalin the Commander-in-Chief – If it wasn't for Stalin, we would not be victorious!", "For the Motherland! For Stalin!"
We proudly sang our Soviet pre-war and wartime songs!
We also celebrated the 140th Anniversary of the birth of V.I. Lenin.
P.S. Comrade Shkarupa also sent us the Russian newspaper "Times of Mineral Waters" in which is written about the plight and suffering of WWII veterans, due to the present Russian regime.
