Moscow: All these months (including July) the protest actions by the miners and other help from all strikers to supplement the strikers that are steadily demonstrating in front of the Duma... strikers from Tula and other centers arrive to show their solidarity. Coal Miners Federation of France sent its solidarity message and help to the striking Russian miners.
Kuzbas: On May 24 the striking miners closed off the trans-Siberian railway, other main highways in Kemerovo province. The pickets made not only economic but political demands and were joined by other miners from adjoining cities and shafts.
Chelyabinsk: Miners struck again and again to protest the breaking of agreements reached between them and the owners only one month ago.
Primorsky Region: After being promised pay, the miners struck again by occupying the mines and will not budge until their demands are met.
Saratov: On July 2 the strike was called by the forklift workers who demanded back pay since they did not receive it since last December.
Sakhalin: Women marched, together with 67 children plus 107 other people, for 25 miles as a hunger march. The women demanded better prices and conditions and also demanded that the present director of "Sakhalinlesproma" (forest industrial enterprise) be put on trial, and they demanded that the back pay should be paid to their husbands.
Volgograd District: Teachers of the Volzhko blocked the main highway (Astrakhal-Volgograd) and demanded back payment for nearly 8 months plus money for textbooks and their holiday pay.
Chuvashia: Over 200 teachers in the city of Kanash went on strike for pay and decided that they shall refuse to give exams to the students.
Madagan: Dockers started a work stoppage and pickets of the ocean transport. They also demanded that the Director of this port be fired.
Moscow: On June 20 the CC CPRF had its meeting and again showed that they are ready and willing to cooperate with the present regime to the detriment of the workers. The CPRF leadership hardly supports any of the strikes or pickets.
Rostov District: In the mine Taunskaya the miners went on strike. Some miners declared a hunger strike.
Vladimir District: 300 medical personnel and doctors, all in white, marched on the streets of Vladimir. They were joined by practically all medical personnel from surrounding districts and also by 20 out of 33 schools and their teachers.
Sverdlovsk District: In the city of Orbit there was unveiled a monument to V.I. Lenin. Six years ago the present regime took down this monument. The enthusiasts started to collect money, repaired the damage and put it up on the same place as it was before. They had a special tablet designed on the monument which said: "The class struggle continues, and our task - to make certain that we help in this struggle unto victory".
Georgia: The regime of Shevernadze is compiling a law that will see the possible banning of the Communist Party of Georgia.
Ukraine: At the same time as the March on Moscow (organized by Victor Anpilov) was taking place in Russia, there took place huge tent cities in front of the Ukrainian Government building in Kiev which saw thousands of workers supporting the coal miners in their struggles.
