It is possible now to itemize the results of the more blatant and horrendous results of the U.S.-NATO-TNC illegal and undeclared war of aggression of more than eleven weeks non-stop, high-tech bomb runs on the sovereign state and people of the Republic of Yugoslavia. The U.S.-NATO prosecuted blood-letting and destruction was carried out by the most sophisticated air armada in history, utilizing the resources of nineteen NATO states with a total population in excess of 750 million people against a tiny Republic of less than 14 million citizens who were virtually defenseless in the face of the cowardly onslaught. We make no claim to a complete itemization of these results but list those we consider the most important and devastating for not only the Yugoslav people, but for Europe, Asia and in fact the entire world citizenry. These are as follows:
* The death and destruction of an unknown and uncounted number of humans... Serbian, Kosovars, Albanians, Romanis (Gypsies) and others unfortunate enough to have been hit by the more than 30,000 barbarous bombing sorties between March 24, and the final bomb hits more than 11 weeks later. Included must be the destruction of homes, hospitals, schools, bridges and infrastructure, power and manufacturing facilities of the entire Yugoslav nation and state so monstrous it will not be tabulated for a very long time. Also included must be the deliberate destruction of the Embassy of the Peoples Republic of China and severe damage to seven other diplomatic holdings of foreign states in Belgrade.
* The placing on Yugoslav territory of a war-ready NATO force of up to 100,000 as an army of occupation in the province of Kosovo. This international occupation force entered Yugoslav territory only after the bombing runs had softened up and rendered the Yugoslav-Serbian forces incapable of effective counter-offensive action.
* Preceding those NATO forces and fighting in close liaison with them throughout the ten weeks of bombing, the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) had been established by CIA-German-British and other NATO Intelligence forces to conduct destabilization activities against the Yugoslav and Kosovar authority; to foment civil war and to create what is now heralded as an armed para-military Police Force to control the area in alliance with NATO military.This mainly undisciplined and mercenary grouping of extreme Albanian nationalists has been repeatedly linked to Mafia-drug and gangster interests but there is every reason to believe they were armed by the NATO Intelligence forces mentioned above. The so-called "peace accord" which the Milosevic Government was compelled to accede to, called not for the "disarming", but for the de-militarization of this group of deadly anti-Yugoslav bandits. It does not require a degree in high academia to know precisely what that meant.
* What that means is that the incipient and ongoing civil war the KLA had carried on and that was endlessly called by U.S.-NATO "ethnic cleansing" of Albanians by the Serbians, is now reversed, now the KLA is driving Serbians from their ancestral land by murder, terror of all kinds, including pillage, rape, burning or whatever is required to create a new "Sovereign State" of Kosovo," separate from Yugoslavia. The notion of a "Greater Albania," held in the grip of NATO-U.S. forces, fits well the "Geo-political and Geo-strategic aims of that gentry on the TNC backed forces in the new unholy alliance.
* The fifty year lying mask of NATO as a "defensive counter-force" to the USSR and the Socialist camp until nine years ago is torn to shreds. The people of the entire world now can see the true character of that noxious military pact as an offensive and war-making alliance and an "international" Police Force on behalf of the TNC corporate power and their kept Governments. We give warning... much more will be heard on that score.
* The United Nations Organization and its hallowed Charter have been reduced to "after-the-fact" lackeys of U.S.-TNC-NATO Military attack on whatever front the TNC bosses should decide. The bloodbath death of fifty millions who died in the 1939-45 conflagration has been desecrated, vilified and trampled under the dirty boots of this new breed of Jack-Booters. For any and every people and Government, anywhere in the world, the question must now be: "who will be next... how can human rights, economic growth, or political freedom be exercised in the shadow of what has occurred in Yugoslavia?" The world has regressed to a state of "jungle law". World security is now in dire danger.
* During the entire 11 weeks of the aerial aggression hardly a single reference appeared in the mainline press or media to indicate that apart from lying and sanctimonious utterances of "humanitarianism" (a la Commander William Jefferson Clinton of highly Publicized sexual and lying proclivities) something more substantial might be involved in the wholesale rape of Kosovo. A single column story in the Toronto Daily Star of June 14th lifted that dirty carpet of lies ever so slightly: "KLA seizes Key Mine" said the headline. In fact, mineral and energy resources, both developed and undeveloped, have been variously estimated at a value in excess of five billion dollars. Who will now reap the profits and benefits of exploitation of this truly massive resource "Seized by the KLA" we will not conjecture... except to say we are certain it will not be the peoples of Kosovo or of Yugoslavia. Our "educated guess" would be that the recipientS of the proceeds of this truly massive resource will be found in New York, London, Berlin, Paris, perhaps even in Toronto, wherever are found the TNC head offices of the TNC mineral buccaneers.
* As this is written (June 25) the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, our own Canadian barn-burning and oil-well explosive experts, the RCMP, the French Surete, German Polizei, etc. etc. are grubbing through the grounds of Kosovo, wherever they find a "fresh " mound of earth, and presumably equally fresh dung hills in search of "from reliable sources-unconfirmed" (as every media tells us) for "reliable" evidence to convict the President of Yugoslavia, Slobodan Milosevic, of alleged "War Crimes." Bombing obviously is no crime! The aforementioned "Boudoir Bill" has even posted a $5,000,000 reward to encourage his unspeakable "baggage" boys of "ill-repute" to convict totally demonized and already publicly convicted Milosevic. How touching, coming from the President of the "Greatest Nation on Earth"... but also the nation with the "Mostest" bombs and the premier record (on a world scale) of numbers killed, sovereign territories invaded and destabilized. This infamous record adds up to an estimated 3 million casualties in thirty different countries since WW II ended. Unforgettable are Hiroshima-Nagasaki where hundreds of thousands died under the first nuclear weapons ever dropped on innocent civilians. This was done by U.S President Truman who could not have been unaware that Japanese emissaries were meeting in Geneva to seek finalization of WW II through Allan Dulles, an official of the U.S. Office of Strategic Services. In the formation and execution of the new "World Policeman" role, the political forces of social reformism and social democracy have played a particularly odious and treacherous part. To those with a grasp of history in the 20th century that will be no surprise. In 1912 the Socialist and Communist parties of Europe met in Basle, Switzerland to formulate a common approach to the impending Imperialist War which they unanimously agreed was imminent. The famed "Basle Resolution" called upon the movement everywhere to not only oppose the outbreak of what became WW I, but to mobilize the working class to prevent it.
That solemn pledge was broken by every Social-Democratic Party in Europe with the sole exception of the Leninist Bolshevik Party in Russia. Instead of calling upon the working class to act to stop the carnage, in every instance, German, British, French and even in Canada the Social Reformist forces and Social Democrats swung to the "Defense of the Fatherland", "For King and Country" and support to the war makers. A few notable exceptions were found in the Spartacus League of Germany, led by the Liebknechts and Rosa Luxemburg and in various syndicalist trade union centers, including the Industrial Workers of the World in the USA. But it was the Lenin party of Bolsheviks and the working class of Russia that broke the Imperial war chain, going on to create the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics as masters and owners of one-sixth of the world's surface and its resources. The smashing of that Marxist-Leninist society and the reclaiming of its vast treasure-trove of natural and human resources was to be the priority of Western Corporate Power for the next 75 years...including the so-called "Cold War".
When Hitler's Nazi assault came against the Soviets, he screamed: "We will now have 1,000 years of the Third Reich".. based on his war aim of the total destruction of the Socialist USSR and the enslavement of its people. Nazism "demonized" as '"sub-human' the Slavic race. To get to the military position where he could throw 280 divisions against the Soviets in history's most devastating and bloodiest war, the political road for him had been well paved by the same social-reformist- and social-democrat forces throughout Europe. To identify a few: Scheideman, Noske, Ebert in Germany; Ramsay MacDonald of Britain; Laval of France and the Liberal-Social Democrats of Spain. Hitler's military forces, strung along the western boundaries of the USSR from the Baltic to Greece, were buttressed by Fascist troops from Slovakia, the Baltic States and Finland, Romania; Hungary, Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovenia and by certain religious orientated para-military forces throughout these countries. All came under the Nazi war slogan "Drang Nach Osten" (March to the East). We know that Hitler's war aims, while bringing unheard of death tolls and destruction to the Soviets, failed and the Soviet one- sixth of the world remained intact and Socialist.
But still to come was the most hideous treachery, the greatest, most devastating undermining in all history by the same Social-Reformist forces. It was eventually to cripple the Marxist-Leninist USSR and to create under the banners of a phony anti-Marxist policy, heavily interlaced with Social Reformism, the alienation of the working class of the USSR from their own revolutionary past and future. Finalized under Gorbachev, Yakovlev and Shevernadze and an "upper-strata" of ideologues, academics and sycophants, the Socialist Soviet USSR was disbanded into 14 separate countries and Russia handed over to the blood and vodka soaked "kulak", Yeltsin and the IMF, World Bank, and his Western "pals". The counter-revolutionary capitalist forces who lived and succored undercover in the Socialist state... never ceased to plot its downfall and to live in a state of reformed capitalism and individual competition and exploitation. The abstract and ideological forces of Social reformism and Social Democracy had (and have) earned the accolades and approval of the monopoly capitalist (read: TNC) bosses. Only that can explain the ferocity and incredible duplicity of Blair, Schroeder and the rest of the Social-Democratic cabal who rejoiced in the destruction and pain of the Yugoslav people. Truly, betrayal and treachery of the working class and people has gained very "high" currency in the Board rooms of the TNC corporate masters, who live faceless and unseen, dangling their puppets to their bidding and at will. Included in that travesty must be the Chretiens, Axworthys, Eggletons of the current lick-spittle Canadian "baggage boy" group of Clinton lovers. It has even been suggested that they make Monica Lewinsky appear as pure as the winter driven snow of the prairies of Canada...
Without question the murderous and continuing assault on Yugoslavia is rooted precisely in identical Geo-political and Geo-Strategic war aims held by Nazi-Imperialism more than half century ago. The Western TNC design cannot be other than the total extinguishing of every vestige of Marxist-Leninist thought and practice, all designed to re-open, in total, the vast land mass of Eurasia and the unmeasurable treasures of natural resources to a TNC "thousand years of control and exploitation". Included are aims that reach far beyond the former borders of the Soviet Republics and extend eastward and south deep into the Asian continent. The fate of the vast populations to be found there and in the USSR will not be appreciably different from those visualized and projected by the Nazis... despite Clinton-CNN TV Media et al professions of Western, and very, very particularly U.S. "humanitarianism and enlightenment". If they lie about Monica, can this lie be far behind????
The Millennium and 21st Century will usher in an epoch of the gravest danger of the human species and unless they are mobilized in resistance to the mindless predatory assaults of the corporate and military, we may well be heralding a "new Dark Age". Confronted with the information and news held in the nauseating grip of TNC practitioners of the "Big Lie" at unheard-of levels, even the development of a socially scientific program of survival will be difficult in the extreme. The 75 day bombing spree of the TNC military monsters attests to that. What is there now that can be accepted without an acid test of verification?... not exactly a high priority of current affairs.
But mobilization of the world working class and people there must be... sooner rather than later. At North Compass we accept this as our #1 priority despite the most difficult conditions under which we operate.. including brush-offs, silences and other forms of isolating activity by those of limited vision.
But we state unequivocally that the beginning point, the tiny area where creative understanding and growth will flash to life... is found simply by "calling the shots" as they are. We are of course aware that across the world the insidious theories of being "just a little conformist" and seeking to appease the TNC monster have brought all people of the world to our current dangerous hiatus in political, economic, social and cultural life.
We reject the notion, attractive as it may seem, that peace with the ravening beast of the TNC world is possible. At best, there can only be a temporary truce in the struggles here on Mother Earth.
It is now time to mobilize the people world-wide for survival of the species!

* TNC - Transnational Corporations. International Monopoly Capitalism operating in more than one country.
* NATO - North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Cold War, anti-Soviet military pact (1949). Followed by Warsaw Pact (1954).
* KLA -Kosovo Liberation Army - mercenary military force organized by the CIA and European Intelligence services to create civil war in Kosovo in the Spring of 1998. It is linked to drugs and Mafia forces.

NATO intervened militarily to prevent the mounting crisis in Kosovo from escalating into a humanitarian catastrophe.
Increasingly , however, evidence is accumulating that it is NATO action that unleashed the major ejection of the refugees and most of the massacres. The shattering eyewitness account of events inside Kosovo by Paul Watson of The Los Angeles Times is the most recent confirmation and shows clearly how war dehumanizes individuals...
The crisis was triggered in the Spring of 1998 when armed ethnic Albanian Kosovars raided Serbian police stations, killing and kidnapping policemen and civilians. The unrest spread to other villages into which weapons found their way from Albania Army depots. Within a few weeks, inside Yugoslavian territory of Kosovo, these KLA units were setting up checkpoints on main roads near Pristina.
The subsequent reaction by Yugoslav Security forces was directed at areas where such attacks were taking place. The Yugoslavs tried to stop the supplies coming from Albania. The KLA cleared villages with unspeakable brutality and included cold-blooded killings.
Yet right from the start NATO's leaders called it "a just war". In the so-called Serbian Province of Kosovo that NATO and KLA are setting up, to be administered by Albanians... no Serbian officials, policemen or politicians will have any say... or even dare to set foot into Kosovo."
