With the Duma elections set for December and the election of a President in July of the year 2000 - what are the present Western-backed forces planning in order to stave off the possibility of a turn to the left?
In an Editorial comment in this issue, we projected as to what might happen in case this scenario comes about. We are convinced that this shall be the case. We hope against hope that we are proved wrong.
But there are other moves afoot which are very dangerous to the Soviet people, but are planned by Western Imperialism as a contingency plan.
In an article in the Russian bourgeois newspaper, called "Arguments and Facts" the paper heads this important article with "A new and strong movement is born against the Red Revenge". This article is illustrated by a Map of Russia which shows the delineation of political parties-movements and their potential in the elections.
This is the contingency plan to divide Russian into regions, with their own Governors and allegiances, thus making certain that no centralized party-movements shall have an overall mandate to govern Russia, without these West supported "fiefdoms" - all very rich in mineral resources and manpower.
Billions of foreign moneys are pouring into the coffers of these movements from the West and internal bourgeoisie who are called even by this reactionary newspaper as the "New Russians".
You would think that this is the time for unified action by ALL the Communist parties and patriotic movements to UNITE and take the present government to task in this their weak and unstable condition!
The map below should sober up people who are still under the illusion that if they win in December and in July, the Soviet Union shall revert back to Socialism and be resurrected.
Day-dreaming and revisionism and opportunism never, ever produced a revolution!
Movement "Fatherland": Heading it is Mayor Luzhkov of Moscow and Yevgeny Primakov. 7 Governors plus 4 speakers in the Duma.
Bloc "All Russia": 11 Governors and some Presidents of former Republics plus 2 speakers in the Duma.
Bloc "Voice of Russia": 2 Governors and 5 speakers in the Duma.
Movement "Our Home- Russia": 16 Governors in Russia.
Zone of influence of CPRF and the Stalin Bloc: CPRF has 3 Governors and 1 speaker in the Duma
With this fragmentation and with billions of dollars pouring into the forthcoming elections... do we really believe that the Communists shall be able to hold on to power if they win?
Uncle Sam and NATO are also studying this map very carefully!
The ousted Yevgeny Primakov, former Prime Minister of Russia, has joined hands with the most reactionary personage Mayor Luzhkov of Moscow in an election front called "Fatherland-Russia" for the forthcoming December election to the Duma.
The right-wing forces are joining in election fronts to make certain that Russia remains in the USA orbit and capitalist. Their tactics are clear - unite the anti-socialist forces in order to defeat the possible left forces.
The question that our readers should be asking, as well as the Soviet comrades are asking is - Where is the Unity of the Communists?
The answer will be asked of those present leaders of the left-wing parties by the people soon enough. Failing to take the necessary steps for a Communist Bloc for the Duma elections will just lead to defeat, and, if not defeat, to a Duma which has no teeth, no will-power to fight the present regime, with or without Yeltsin at the helm.
The crystal truth is that even if the Duma has a majority of Communist members (as it has now) nothing, absolutely nothing shall be done to bring about the resurrection of the Soviet Union and Socialism if the present policies of the
CPRF Duma members is followed. By not uniting forces in the face of a possible fascist coup is something that the Soviet people shall not forgive or forget!
Read the view of RCWP!
Adding fuel to the fire that is being fanned are the following facts taken from the newspaper "Trudovaya Rossia", organ of the Russian Communist Workers Party.
How can you, CPRF members of the Duma allow such a sacrilegious event to take place as the uttering of the head of the Russian Orthodox Church Alexei II who has no qualms about allowing rock concerts and lewd dancing spectacles to be performed right on Red Square, in front of the Lenin Mausoleum, without taking a forthright stand against this mouthpiece of Yeltsin and company?
Also... a person, dressed as Alexei II, or it was Alexei himself, who, during an event on Red Square, passing by the Lenin Mausoleum, started to spit at the doors of the Mausoleum! How come that there was no outcry from the Duma?
Besides... with the hysterical campaign to take and re-bury Lenin's body and demolish the Mausoleum in full gear and wild demands by the present Mafiosi-orientated representatives of the Government... where are the parties such as the Russian Communist Party-CPSU, All Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Union of Communist Parties-CPSU? Where are the workers of the Lenin Museum, the orators of the Society "Znaniya', film and stage actors who for years played V.I. Lenin roles? Where is the working class, for which Lenin gave his life? Cannot the parties and workers of Moscow organize a picket to prevent anything of this macabre event from taking place?
We must act today! Maybe tomorrow shall be too late!
HANDS OFF LENIN!
