Organ of the Young Bolsheviks of the AUCPB
Not too long ago there was an attack against Ulyanovsk City young Bolsheviks, right in front of TV cameras on November 7 celebration in 1997 by members of the Communist Party of Russian Federation (CPRF). Also on May Day celebrations this year in Ulyanovsk there was a provocation started against the AUCPB. But this provocation was done much more subtly.
This May Day was organized on a wide scale with different parties and many organizations uniting into the Organizational Committee to organize May Day celebrations.
Zyuganovite and Luzhkovite sections were also representing trade unions and other organizations, even though these two parties are miles apart, but in this instance they produced a document that was to be adopted by the May Day Committee. All their slogans and resolutions had no teeth, meant to just "let off steam" so to say. The same bourgeois appeals to get rid of Yeltsin and get the back pay for workers.
The Bolsheviks, who were part of this May Day Committee, produced another version of the slogans and were trying to present it to the meeting for discussion as is usually the case when different points of view are in a Committee.
The AUCPB or their peoples organization - it is called "Otechestvo-Fatherland" since the AUCPB is refused recognition as a political party in all of the former Soviet Republics - the only political party that is always refused registration... presented slogans for discussion such as - calling upon the working class to struggle for the resurrection of the Soviet Union and Socialism. The Zyuganovites and Luzhkovites (movement of Mayor of Moscow Luzhkov) made certain that our AUCPB representatives did not have the opportunity to speak. As if on cue the CPRF and Luzhkov supporters started to boo and did not let the elected representatives of the AUCPB speak or even reach the microphone.
They organized two rows of bodies and prevented the AUCPB speakers from coming onto the stage. Then the chairman (CPRF) immediately closed the meeting after their slogans were read and they did not even wait for a vote on their adoption.
Thus this meeting was utilized by these forces against the mounting swell of people for socialist revolution. But it won't be too long before the working class realizes who is who!
